Single bottle from Total Wine, with a best before date one month after the day which I consumed said beer. On to the beer:
A ½ inch of bubbly head rests top this light orange colored pale ale. Some suds of lace stick around as the beer's level drops. The nose has the "essence" of hops, meaning the smell is lighter on its feet while retaining the intensity of its aroma. Specific notes include orange, tangerine, grapefruit. Something about that taste grabs a hold of me. The base is a dry crackery malt, basted in fresh hop oils. The flavors of sweet orange and grapefruit are allowed to shine, and as a bonus a whisper of graham cracker adds the lightest of sweetness to the beer. It's a light bodied beer with a slightly crisp body. It's a good pale ale, one that paired with my scallops very well.
