12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 10/23/2014. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy bright orange color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with bright citrus/tropical hops and moderate bready malt balance; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice robustness and complexity of citrus/tropical hops and balanced bready malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. The hop flavors in the taste were not as bright as the aromas. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good American pale ale. Good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

bought this on a whim at wal-mart:
poured from the 12 oz bottle into my new belgium goblet:

A just slightly lighter than honey with a red tint - I got 3 fingers PLUS of impressive foamy head that settles slow and leaved wispy lacing. super clarity.

S HOPS to the max. loving that.

T yummy hoppness, but rather light on anything else, missing a bit of the backbone that I was hoping for

M a bit thin and foamy

D VERY nice - guzzzle on !!!

My wife brought me a bottle from colorado. The beer has a light copper tone with a thin head that stays for a while leaving no lacing on the glass, the smell is citric and fruity delicious.
The taste is predominantly citrus and grains with a husky feeling that goes well with its light body.
Very good beer.

This copper colored beer had a nice appearance with a bit of foam poured from the bottle. It was an easy drinking beer with pleasant characteristics such as limited bitterness in the finish and pleasant aromas and tastes throughout. The beer is a great example of an excellent pale ale. Drink it cold in fitting tradition of a free winter snow ride.
