I had this on tap at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club. I was surprised, this is a pretty good beer. The appearance is great, it was cooper and when held up to the sun, no light shone through. It looks rich and thick. This beer has a nice laid back aroma of hops and faint sweetness. The taste and mouthfeel are descent. For me, nothing in the taste turned me on. Overall, an average beer that looks appetizing.

I had this beer on-tap in a Perfect Pint at Special Brews in Lynnwood, WA.
Appearance: rich orange hue with a tiny touch of haze and a moderate effervescence. Head is an almost-nonexistent layer of ivory foam. Good look; no head.
Smell: mmm, enticing grapefruity aroma. I hope it tastes as good as it smells.
Taste: rich, delicious citrusy hops; massive grapefruit with a nice tangerine complement. I don't think I've ever had a grapefruit-hopped beer this fresh and delicious. I think the rye complements the hops well here. I'm sold. Bam!!
Mouthfeel: medium body with a very good well-integrated carbonation and a good creaminess. Bam!
Overall: looks aren't everything, guys; in fact, you might say looks aren't *anything*. This is the tastiest beer I've had in recent memory.

I bought a Howler of it at Liquor Shed.
A- it pours a clear bronze with a 2 finger head of fluffy foam, lacing is very good.
S- I get hoppy, fruity, spicy, toasted malt. Nice.
T- up front, toasted malt followed closely by a batch of different fruitiness, spice from the rye, and good old hop bitterness that APAs need to fit the(me) Bill. Yummy!
M- medium bodied with the carbo just below medium, this has one of the best mouthfeels I've ever encountered.
O- Alaskan hit a home run with this brew. I'll be returning to get more!
Here is an excerpt from Alaskan describing the brew...since there doesn't seem to be a way for me to add notes:
American Pale Ales are known for showcasing American hop varietals and this brew focuses palates toward several classic, new, and even experimental hop types in convert with loamy and peppery flavors of malted rye, Summit and Magnum hops lend a sturdy hop backbone to this deep bronze-colored beer, while the new Calypso hops add bright fruit characters. Mosaic hops feature a floral essence and new, still unnamed experimental hop variety brings it all together with notes of blueberry and coconut.
A full crystal malt bill provides a backdrop of toasted bread-crust, toffee, and caramel notes to the complex hop aroma and flavor profile characterized by delicate hints of pear, apple, lavender, and tropical fruit. Malted rye adds a subtle spiciness to both the aroma and finish of this pale ale recipe.
Edit: Weird but I'll be dag nabbed if I DON'T taste some hints of blueberry. :^)
