This is a wonderful little spin on the standard American IPA. The bottle conditioning adds a wonderful element of complexity and interesting flavors.
A - The pour into my snifter is a luminous orangey amber with a solid head which leaves a small net of lacing on the glass. I am sure the lacing would be better in a pint, or pilsner.
S - Somewhat course graininess, with fruitiness and hoppy citrus. The hop characters are a little too introverted for my preference.
T - The flavor is really good. There's this overarching mellowness to it, and everything is in its place. There's a touch of fruitiness and bready malt. It definitely tastes...somehow older. Not in a bad way, but in a way that suggests the flavors have mellowed together. It's got a little bite on the finish, and the hoppy bitterness lingers. It's slight, but undeniably present.
M&D - Great mouthfeel. Creamy and soft. Medium bodied, this beer is one you could drink again and again.
