A bottle conditioned beer out of the U.S. Gotta love it.
Pours a clouded dark gold with very little head (due to a gentle pour). Nose is heavily hopped. Tangerine scents present. Very pungent. Flavor is very hoppy, but not overly powerful. It definitely leaves an impression on your mouth. Feel is good, though I seem to remember it being nice on the mouth off tap. Extremely drinkable. I can see this one being one to give to macro lovers and it might open their minds and mouths to a world of possibility.
Verdict: even better than it was on tap I think.

Julian code reads 09347 (i.e. bottled on April 3, '14)
Appearance - Pours a hazy amber orange with an off-white finger width head. Fair retention results in a broken layer of suds across the surface. Lacing is fair, mostly spotty, and holds with good stick.
Smell - Equal notes of orange hop character and bready malts, along with some peppery spice.
Taste - Follows the nose. Orange notes and a bitey, peppery spice backed by an enormous amount of bready maltiness. Hints of pine in the finish to ride along with a low level of orange pith bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Medium body with a fair to lively level of carbonation. Goes down easy with a nice, crisp, semi-dry finish.
Overall - This may have been an amazing IPA back in 1995, but times have changed. Most would consider this an APA by today's standards, and I couldn't disagree. It's a really nice, drinkable beer, but nothing close to what's expected of the style in this age of hop bomb madness; truly a victim of time.
