Presentation: On tap.
Appearance: Clean amber colour with a ring of white lace on top.
Smell: A bit fruity with toasted malt and caramel aromas.
Taste: Toasted malt which is a bit grainy runs dominate through this brew, an underlying herbal bitterness is evident.
Notes: A well brewed Amber Ale, nice on the malt.

Red and amber appearance, light white ring on the top. Aroma was lightly toasted without the peat, delicate flowery hop presence.
Light toasted sweet malt, above average bitterness giving the beer a distinct flavor and mouthfeel component instead of many reds that just try to be as bland as possible while looking nice upfront. Not going to blow anyone away, but a solid offering.
Bridgeport's distribution seems to be less than it was back in the late 90s, but they still crank out very traditional beers.

Deep amber. Nice head and lace. Again, too damned cold for cask but if that's what Bridgeport does I guess i'll have to deal with it...
Slight wet paper and plastic tones, and once I finished my expensive-ass pint they pulled it off the cask board. Wonder how ancient this sample was...but come on, its on tap at the brewpub!
Meagerly fruity hop bitterness pricks the grainy breadiness with a nice warmth on the end. Better in mouthfeel than most ambers i'm exposed to, but still pretty unimpressive, even from cask.
