Pours a hazy reddish-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, rye, candied citrus zest, and slight herbal hop aromas. Taste is much the same with rye, caramel, and candied citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop and earth bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a nice balance of rye and hop characterisitcs.

Serving type: bottle.

Picked up a single from Total Wine in late April for $1.29.

Beer poured a murky red with a little off white head that is leaving no lacing.

Nose is malty with a hint of citrus.

Taste is caramel malts, apples and citrus. Pretty well balanced.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and kind of flat.

Overall not a bad beer, Unfortunately with no bottling date that i could find i suspect i have an old bottle. Could be better fresher.
