Pours up a pale cloudy strawberry blond with an immediate 4 finger fizzy head that subsides down a bit. Scent is of citrus fruits and unique acidic character of red berries, raspberry and strawberry, with a light wheaty flour backbone. No detection of alcohol. Taste comes in as light malt and sourness, goodness, tangy strawberries, none of the cough-syrup flavor you often get with other fruit based ales. It is crisp and clean, bubbly, refreshing. There's also an alcohol sense to it that is reminiscent of white wine or dry cider. tastes much more "real" than many other widely available and comparable fruit ales. The body is easy and satisfying, perfect for hot weather, not cloying whatsoever. Overall, a very nice fruit ale.

Poured out of the 22oz bottle into a Liefmans goblet. Body is a pretty, cloudy golden-orange color topped by a half finger of fluffy white head. Aroma of sweet pale malt, light honey, and faint strawberries, along with some tangy notes of Belgian yeast.
Palate is a nice balance of sweet and tart. Notes of honey, elderflower(?), and a bit of yeasty tang. Big flavor from the strawberries emerges mid-palate and lingers on the finish. Body is crisp and dry, lit and bubbly, just great for the style. While certainly not in the ballpark of a true lambic, this is a delicious, tart, fruity treat that shows the range of the Bridgeport crew. Nice work.

22 oz bomber pours a fairly hazed, dark gold color. Tight-bubbled, off white head shows some decent retention and lace.

Nose has about equal parts biscuity malt, strawberry cake frosting and alcohol. Little bit tart-smelling but not much.

Whoa, the rough alcohol flavors really are off-putting right off the bat. Not enough ancillary flavors to mask it. Light tartness and lacks sweetness. I just had another strawberry ale the other day (Covington/Heiner Brau) and it was miles and miles better than this. This tastes like a rough malt liquor with a dab of strawberry tartness...fruit is way too subtle in this one. I think I can finish the bomber, but I am not looking forward to it.

Poured from a bottle into a Chimay goblet.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy light red with a golden hue. There is a finger of off white/light pink head with decent retention and no lacing.

Smell: Light and fruity. Malty and a bit sweet with some stawterry and what reminds me of apple juice.

Taste: I really would have enjoyed more fruit and less everything else. Lots of malt and alcohol with mild fruity notes. Some strawberry and apple juice like notes. A lot like the smell.

Mouthfeel: The body is on the thick side given the flavor they were shooting for. Lots of aggressive carbonation and a dry finish.

Overall: More fruit and some tartness would have made me happier. Not a very good beer.

Served this 22 oz. brown bottle in a Sierra Nevada Hops glass. No date. The beer was hazy orange with a sizzling frothy head that was almost white. There was very active nucleation and a cap of creamy foam remained.

The smell was mildly fruity. Mild strawberries. However, it began to reek. I swear it smelled rotten! Worse as it warmed.

The taste was tart but stale strawberries. Too watery and thin. There didn't seem to be enough malts to compliment the berries. Garbage began to prevail, something is wrong here.

The mouthfeel was to thin but the fine carbonation was active. I ended up pouring this one down the drain. Disappointing.

Chill hazed amber colored with a tall white head.

Smells of strawberries and caramel with a little grassy hop. Mostly this smells like cooked strawberry.

Starts out sweet and sour with a fairly strong strawberry taste. Mildly bitter and it gets sweeter as you drink it but not much more here than strawberry.

Mouthfeel is OK.

Overall this is a try it once type of beer. Tried it, don't need another bottle.

Bought a bomber today. Store manager said it was okay, but not spectacular. I like things different, so I gave it a try.

Pours with a light head that disappears into a thin layer of extremely fine bubbles that wick up the glass without much lacing. Color is medium amber, clear until you get to the yeast in the bottom of the bottle. Bubbles continue to maintain the head.

Nose gets malt with some strawberry. Second pour has more berry aroma.

Flavor is of wheat and strawberry, more of a light wheat. Not sweet, but not overly tart. (I love gooseberry pie w/o sugar).

Mouthfeel leaves the berry flavor, better in the second pour. No sense of alcohol, in spite of the 7.7% label. Good move by the brewer.

My store manager was right, it's okay but not impressive. I've had far better from Bridgeport and won't buy this one again. Too many better beers in today's market.

A-Pours an orange-amber color with a finger of white head.

S-Smells strongly of tart strawberries and a bit of biscuity caramel malt.

T-Tart strawberries are pretty overpowering with a bit of sweet caramel malt and a slight, tart bitterness

M-Medium bodied with low carbonation and crisp and slightly dry feel.

D-Pretty easy drinking, although I wish this one was a little bit more complex; the strawberries are front and center, and everything else is pretty muted in the background.

Pours a light golden copper with 2 fingers of head.

Hard to pull any specific smells out of this one, maybe some weak malt notes but only a hint of the fruit.

There is a little bit of tart strawberry taste here, but most of the flavor is just of weak bready ale malts.

Mouthfeel is pretty thin.

Not something I'll be buying again.

Poured in to a S.A. Perfect Pint glass. Clear, golden body. Frothy, white head that faded fast.

Very light fruit presence. Very crisp with a light tarness and some light maltiness.

Taste had light strawberry presence. Very light presence. Mellow tart-like bitterness. Hint of sweetness.

Mouthfeel had light body, medium/high carbonation. Crisp finish.

Drinkability was light and bellow. No signs of ABV.

Served in a Chicago Bears shaker pint glass.

I had no idea Oregon was such a breeding ground for strawberries, but okay. You learn something new every day. This stuff pours a cloudy brass topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises dry barley, mild strawberry flavoring syrup (as opposed to the syrup I used to heavily employ on my Pigs in a Blanket at IHOP), and a tiny bit of fiberglass (go on a boat and tell me I'm wrong). The taste brings in more of the same, with the strawberry flavor, as real as it supposedly is, appearing as though I were sucking on a decade-old Ring Pop, plastic band and all. It's not overly sweet, but closer to that end of the spectrum than the tart. In addition, this strawberry-ness clashes a bit with the underlying barley. Great. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, I'm having this with only a year or so on it, but it seems like it's been sitting somewhere for much longer. Suffice it to say, I'm not much of a fan...

Just poured a 22oz bottle into a Pint glass.

A - Pours a medium hazy orange, that eventually clears, with a fizzy tan head. The head fades to a thin film with some bubbles on the edges.

S - Wheat, oats, and fresh cut fruit.

T - Wheat, and finally some strawberries.

D - Almost fizzy in the mouth. Very light bodied.

O - You think with the claim of using Oregon Strawberries their smell and taste would dominate, but they don't. I almost had to search for them.

This one just got to Oklahoma City about a week ago

Bomber -> 2 Unibroue Tulips

A ~ Poured the color of Rose Wine with a with a very soft head

S ~ Fruit skins, Rosewater, and earth euro hops are faint

T ~ Very unique. Strawberry juice, lemon peel, and rose petal. Little grassyness from the Saaz. The full fruityness of the straws comes through more as it warms up.

M ~ Crispy, subtly fruity, and a bit of bitter which really helps this Ale as a whole.

D ~ I love Bridgeport, I really do. They generally don't disappoint and this one lives up to that.
I never tried the 2010 ST but this one is super chuggable. My girl and I split this and it is a great date beer.

A - Poured out a hazy, golden orange color with a one-finger, off-white head of foam. It left little to no lacing.

S - It smelled of fresh strawberries and some yeastiness.

T - Good strawberry taste with a tart bite and some sweetness. There is a touch of spiciness on top of a caramel backbone.

M - It was very crisp, sharp and smooth. A light to medium bodied ale with a dry finish.

O - This is a pretty tasty strawberry ale. At $2.99 for 22oz it was a steal.

Picked up a bottle of this one today at Lukas Liquors for my wife--$6.49 for the bomber. Wasn't expecting a whole lot, so in that respect, this one lived up to my expectations. Poured a nice reddish-amber color with a good off-white head. Aromas of red berries, biscuit and caramel. On the palate, this one was light to medium bodied, slightly tart, with biscuit, caramel and strawberry.
