12oz bottle, part of the rather inexpensive six-packs these are sold in, exclusively at the local liquor chain's outlets.

This beer pours a clear, very pale golden straw colour, with two fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and mostly fizzy off-white head, which leaves little beyond a few specks of remote islet lace around the glass as it quickly blows off.

It smells of bready, doughy pale malt, corn cereal, a not so subtle sour fruitiness, mineral water, and weak leafy, weedy, and grassy hops. The taste is more corny than grainy in its still-rising bready malt sweetness, the basic drupe fruitiness more or less pulling out of its skanky spiral, and the noble-leaning hops carrying on with their understated leafy, grassy and herbal character.

The carbonation is fairly sprightly in its tightly-wound frothiness, the body an adequate medium weight for the style, and a bit too tacky to be considered all that smooth. It finishes trending dry, the corniness becoming even more cereal like, and the fruitiness fading into obscurity.

I would imagine that this is made with the traditional ingredients, but every other sip or so, there's that Matrix-like reality shimmer, where the ghost of a typical adjunct lager comes a little too close to the surface. Grainy, fruity, and plainly hoppy, yeah, but only if you don't look too closely, or think too hard about it.

Reminds me a lot of Miller - corn based and not a lot to it. I will not drink again.
