Brewed with some of our favorite new hop varieties from our favorite hop farmers - Citra, Simcoe, Chinook, Ekuanot, Azacca, and Galaxy. Electric Jellyfish is filled with a bright tropical citrus character along with notes of orange, mango, lychee, and a floral backbone. The Jellyfish is a hazy new school IPA focusing on the juicy hop flavor and aroma while keeping the bitterness balanced and refreshing.

Canned 2/12/24.
L: Pours a hazy deep gold with a big white fluffy head that quickly dissipates. Minimal lacing.
S: Aromas of orange and lemon-lime. A little peach and mango.
T: Citrus up front, transitioning to a tropical middle. Finishes dry but not bitter.
F: Medium mouthfeel. Medium to low carbonation.
O: A solid NEIPA. Nice flavor pivot from citrus to tropical.

Living in Austin, with lots of PHP locations nearby and many local bars and restaurants serving the Jellyfish fresh, I feel a little spoiled. I still frequently pick it up in cans as well.
Is this my favorite beer in the world? Perhaps. I am always looking for the next best thing (in many markets, due to travel) and have had some close contenders, but nothing has beaten this yet.
Pours fat…this is a substantial beer, even among hazys. Yellow gold ripe banana colored. Thick, medium-tall head, leaving a good amount of CO2 in the beer that isn’t too quick to dissipate.
Feels great going down. Doesn’t coat the mouth and not sticky. Refreshing enough for a hot summer day and satisfying enough for the winter. Can easily put away a couple of pints and feel ready for another.
Mildly citrusy and tropical, but definitely lets the hops shine through. This tastes like beer…not KoolAid. Mild, pleasant aftertaste. No flavor buildup…the last sip is as amazing as the first.
This beer holds its own and tends to outshine even the very best NE/mid-Atlantic IPAs. If I could marry a beer, this would be her.

Thanks, Sean!
Was lucky enough to get this and three others from Sean J. on a recent work trip to Frisco, Texas. I really thought I had this before but apparently not. Their website called this “Brewed with some of our favorite new hop varieties from our favorite hop farmers - Citra, Simcoe, Chinook, Ekuanot, Azacca, and Galaxy. Electric Jellyfish is filled with a bright tropical citrus character along with notes of orange, mango, lychee, and a floral backbone. Poured a medium golden hazy color with seven fingers of rocky white head. Could see a lot of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class foamy spiderweb lacing. Perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled orange peel, mango, pineapple, papaya, melon, apricot, peach and floral. For the six mentioned hops, initially Simcoe, Ekuanot and Azacca stood out. A little better out of the can with the peach and apricot standing out. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted about as good as the nose. Got orange peel, orange rind, mango, apricot, peach, papaya, melon, pineapple, hints of wood, grapefruit, green vegetable and herbal. For the six mentioned hops, Simcoe, Citra and Ekuanot stood out. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Maltier finish. (Feel - 4.00)
This was outstanding overall. Would love to have this fresh another time and will maybe change my ratings then. (Overall - 4.00)

Gold in color with a hazy complexion. There's a fingernail of dishwater white on top. Heavy, soapy lacing on the glass. The aroma is of melon and lemon. I'm tasting melon. lime, and pear. The mouth is smooth and creamy.
