This is a rich gold-colored lager with a crisp hop note. it maintains its zest and balance of hops and malt from start to finish. It is a cold lagered and naturally carbonated all-malt beer that is very versatile and can be enjoyed alone or with nearly any type of food.

On tap at Brewery & Grill in Sedona.
Light amber color with a small but durable white head that laves some sticky lacing.
Aroma light malts and floral/spicy hops. These are more-or-less in balance in the taste.
Clean, unflawed, moderately refreshing, but lacks complexity or other features that would make me want to have another.
Medium-light body; proper carbonation.

12 oz Bottle. Particular smell of apple instant oatmeal. Curt and to the point. A hazed deep gold pours out, with a sparse bubble soap foam tinted banana. Flavor is a unique bready and peachy foam. The beer is expanding from its shake up, but still carries gentle wheats, light fusili pasta, and toothy apple pucker. Shy of any off flavors, however these flavors the beer has are a bit peculiar, however enjoyable. There's some off hexane or Styrofoam on the back end, but it's not too interrupting. Hops could play more. Pretty nice. Thanks Rudy!

Oak Creek- Gold Lager
Thanks go out to Tayner for this 1.
A- Light and bright yellow, clear with a big foamy white head. Quick dissipation though.
S- Crisp corn/ hay/ straw.
T- Light sunflower seeds, raw grains, straw, and honey.
M- A light honey sweetness up front but becoming watery and lifeless in the end.
Overall- This is thirst quenching ice cold but the flavors are too subdued. I let it warm up too but only the honey come out. Its worth a try.
(Thanks Dana)

I got this bottle from tayner. Thanks Dana!
It pours a clear(turns slightly hazy with second pour) yellow gold with about an inch of foam. Almost no lacing but the head retention is good.
The smell has notes of some malt and a touch of hop bitterness at first whiff. More whiffs in and I get "strong" notes of lemon.
The taste has some bready malt and a slightly bitter hop flavour. Swishing the beer in my mouth and the hops become a little more assertive..tastes lemony. There's also a flavour here that I can't quite put into words but it doesn't add in a positive way to the overall drinking experience.
Mouthfeel is very thin and carbonation is medium. Imho, it's not much of a step up from the typical Macro and maybe it's not a step up at all. I'm still glad I had a chance to try it because you *never* know how you'll feel about a brew until you try it. No matter what previous reviews say. ;^)

Faintly hazy yellow-gold with a soft pillowy head that is bleached bone white in color. The cap won't win any awards for persistence and leaves almost no lace. The nose is pretty typical for the style with perhaps a smidgen more spicy hoppiness that one usually smells. In addition to the (probable) noble hops, there's an off-aroma that I can't quite place.
Oak Creek Gold is exhibit A on why I don't like adjunct lagers. It has a barely acceptable malt structure and a pungeant, almost spoiled hop flavor that isn't getting me excited about the next sip. Its only saving graces are that there's a slight lemony flavor and the the flavor in general doesn't last all that long in the mouth thanks to an anorectic body. It fades to watery nothingness long before it can truly offend.
My advice is to drink Oak Creek Gold Lager ice-cold, preferably in the Arizona desert when you're delirious with dehydration. That's about the only scenario that I can envision that will get me to drink this stuff again.

The beer after its release from the 12-ounce bottle sets quietly in the glass a clear gold color with a white head that is frothy in texture and the residual lace a decent sheet to cover the glass. Nose is malt, clean and fresh and the start malt sweet with the top light to middling in feel. Finish is lightly hopped and the acidity mild, dry aftertaste and once again a drinkable beer and one that goes down well with spicy food and is tolerable in the desert heat.
