With over 100 years of brewing tradition behind it, Molson Export continues to grow in lore. Its history, however, could never be as rich without the original, high-quality ingredients that have come to distinguish it from other brands.
We brew Molson Export with two-row barley, an exclusive strain of ale yeast that goes back to the origins of Molson Breweries, hand-selected Golding and Oregon hops and water.

In my youth (now 75) I drank gallons of this stuff. The army mess where I did my first drinking had Ex as its mainstay beer. And it was cheap. I recently had a serving (bottle) that brought back false memories. Then, I thought it was a great beer, but now that I have had many others, over 4000, I can say meh. It is an entry level beer. Brewed to a common denominator that will offend few.

The better of the Molson. Can be hard to find on tap but man is it worth it. Decent price, great taste. And I think it's the first beer I ever tasted so I could be a little biased.

Please give me a break.
No wonder their stock action is plumming.
This beer is the exact way to do something disgusting on the palate.
It was the canadian Flagship before Coors come to Canada.
After we know the story... this beer is now "just" the beer you have when you go see the montreal Canadian. Otherwise no one is very a fan of this so basic, not even entry level, cheap beer poorly made

poured like a clean but darker lager. bubbles were thick and porous. smelled of stone fruits, malt and yeast. the taste was sweeter than the average macro beer. Molson did a great job of recreating the taste of a true ale without breaking the bank. i was not blown away but i enjoyed it. great work molson!

I bought a can today at the beer store in Ontario 473ml at 5%.
poured a 2finger head into glass leaving a lace as you drink it.
last time I had this beer it came in a stumby bottle I think the Brewery should go back to this style of bottle anyways the beer tastes and smells good I liked it when I was 15 and I still do good carbonation medium bitterness.
overall a good ale
I recommend drinking this beer ice cold
X hits the spot .
cheers.

Molson Export pours into my glass crystal clear and a light copper in color. The head is fluffy, white, and lasting.
Taking a sniff, the first thing I notice is an odd sweetness. If anything, this sweetness smells like corn syrup. This is immediately followed by caramel, making the initial corn sweetness easy to miss. Underneath that is a generic sort of breadiness.
On the tongue, Molson Export is smooth, lightly carbonated and has an oddly slick mouthfeel. Flavors are sweet up front, tasting more like synthetic caramel flavoring than actual caramel. Barest hint of nuttiness trying to lend support. No notable malt flavors floating around, either. Finish is short, sweet, and clipped. No hop presence to speak of, either.
It's just not that great. It literally tastes like someone took a beer and added synthetic colors and flavors to make it look like a nice, crafty beer. Unfortunately to me, it just tastes like a variety of carbonated syrups.
