I recently reviewed the Rickard's IPA as the worst IPA that I've ever had. Being not averse to abuse, I went back to the Rickard's well. I was very pleasantly surprised. We had several hours to burn at YYZ yet again. There are very limited choices once one is trapped in the international pier, and even worse beer choices.
It poured an amber hued red with a thick, frothy head. Excellent retention and lacing. Couldn't find anything negative. Retention lasted so long that I gave up and dug in. Aromas of citrus and fruity malts.
Smooth light fruits and caramel malts. No real hops to speak of. Light medium mouthfeel that went down very easy. Finished very clean and refreshing.
By far, the best Molson brew I've had to date. I even let mine warm up, as I was enjoying a book at the time. No harsh off flavors, smooth drinking clean fun.
