Having a 20-ounce draft in the watering hole in an Edmonton Holiday Inn.
Appearance - tawny copper with a 3/4-inch head that subsides in minutes. Thin layer of surface bubbles.
Smell - central aroma is fairly deeply roasted barley, over a thin hop scent.
Taste - very balanced and steady flavour of prominent barley and a fairly even hop finish.
Mouthfeel - surprisingly smooth. Perhaps it's the end of a long day and anything will do. Not overly carbonated in contrast to the bottled version.
Drinkability - I'd say this is of mediocre drinkability. Basically refreshing but not something I feel like pounding on for 6 hours.
Serving type: on-tap

A: Rusty red, clear filtered, little carbonation, 4 fingers of off white head with a rusty tinge.
S: Apple candy, apple butter with a citrusy tinge, lightly sweet roasted malt.
T: Lightly sweet, roasted malt, clean linen, little metallic finish, little bitterness.
M: Medium body, little carbonation. Overall smooth.
O: Its fine, not really much distinguishing character, perhaps the macro brew of amber ales. Smooth, nothing really standing out.
