Are Carling Black Label Ice and Molson Black Ice the same beer? My uncle works in a Molson brewery in Toronto and he said that they brew both Molson Black Ice and Carling Black Label Ice? I've tried both, they have the same taste, same label, except different boxes? Im confused.. anyhow i guess that im reviewing both of them.
Appearance-- Pours piss yellow colour, fizzy white head with fades in seconds, a little retention here.
Smell--kind of pleasing for an ice beer, fruity and shows some potential, but....(see taste)
Taste--tastes like watered down brandy, its obvious why people drink this stuff though>>(when i was a teenager we used to drink it all the time)>> for the alcohol.
Mouthfeel--Stingy, acid like feeling, nice carbonation.
Drinkability--you could drink a tones of these, just be carful cause the alcohol might creep up on you after awhile. Nice party beer, wouldnt offer it to my father in law or if i was trying to impress anyone.
Bottom line>>When i was a teenager we used to drink this stuff all the time, but now that i appreciate beer a little more after all the beers ive tried and have a little more respect for beer then i had a few years ago, Its not so bad, maybe we werent drinking "cheap" beer all those years.
