341ml bottle, at the southside Canadian Brewhouse. I was driving, but wanted another beer. What...to...do?

This beer pours a clear, very pale straw colour, with one fat finger of bubbly and fizzy dirty white head, which collapses in a near instant, actually leaving a few specks of streaky lace around the glass.

It smells of thin adjunct malt (corn husk, mostly - or is it leastly?) - the kind where 'sweet' is a leading attribute - a hint of nail polish remover, and mildly chlorinated water. The taste is gritty corn mash, steeped in household cleaner-tinged hard water, and a barely perceptible musty, um, something - best to leave it at that.

The carbonation is average, just a meek frothiness throughout, the body the epitome of light-weight, watery, clean (sanitized would be a better word), and smooth, I guess. It finishes with more of that chemical-touched hard water sensibility.

Diluted Canadian, in a nutshell. Nothing overtly offensive, if you really don't care that you're drinking a half a beer. Maybe have a glass of actual water in between real beers if you need to pace your intake, though after that pile o' Kactus chips I just inhaled, maybe this brew's whole 67 calories isn't such a bad idea - no, not this way, it isn't.

Bottle: Poured a pale golden yellow color beer with a small bubbly head. Aroma is bland with light adjunct notes. Taste is one of the most bland I have ever tasted with almost zero taste and light adjunct notes. Body is super light with soda-like carbonation. Wow talk about a beer not tasting like much at all.

Appearance: It has a pale yellow color to it. It has a half inch white head (after a heavy poor) that dies down really fast and leaves minimal lacing.

Smell: The aromas definitly give out hints of sweet grains and corn.

Taste: Like the aromas, it has a very bland sweet grain and corn taste.

Mouthfeel: It has a medium carbonation with a very light overall balance and feel.

Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with very bland flavors and aromas.

Bottle from the singles bin LCBO store 200- A very very pale straw pour with a surprisingly long lasting bleached white froth. I'm immediately awestruck at just how much corn they must have used in this. It smells like a can of creamed corn and straw. I just shat myself in horror of all this corn. Thankfully it isn't as corny in the flavour department, but it sure is sweet and grainy, a bit grassy. Very light, easy drinking with literally no finish. I guess that is what they are aiming for. Overall this is shite, but I can see where it appeals to Joe Q. Poop Face and his hipster douchebag friends.

473 mL can picked up at TBS; served well chilled. I had this a few years back - and by 'had', I mean an agent left a bunch of free samples behind at the liquor store I used to work at, which was around the time that this beer was initially being launched. As I chugged the contents of a single ice cold bottle just prior to clocking in for my shift, I was pretty sure it was the wateriest, most flavourless beer I'd ever had - and unsurprisingly, I haven't been inclined to return to it until now, when a lack of alternatives has left me scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Pours a clear, pale straw yellow colour, topped with one finger's worth of soapy bone-white head. Very active carbonation; streams of bubbles constantly rush to the surface, reinforcing the head for at least a few minutes before it finally recedes into a thin cap and collar. Lots of lacing, too - one of the better-looking light beers I've had in recent memory. It has that generic 'cheap yellow lager' aroma, with no real distinguishing traits to speak of... corn husk, a little grainy with some vaguely sweet features, and not much else. Typical of the style.

Weak, diluted flavour, but not quite as tasteless as some of the other 'low cal' lagers I've tried in the past. There's a light brushing of grainy malts and corn that vanishes from the palate almost as quickly as it appears. No real wheat malt presence (the label mentions both barley and wheat), and no real aftertaste - just some light malts, carbonation, and then it's gone. Thin-bodied and very watery, with heavy carbonation levels that give this brew a spritzy, lively feel in the mouth.

Final Grade: 2.59, a forgettable C-. A re-tasting of Molson Canadian 67 hasn't changed my opinion much - this is still an exceptionally watery, bland lager - but compared to certain other low-calorie light lagers (e.g. Sleeman Clear or Michelob Ultra), this one at least resembles an actual beer, so I can't grade it too harshly. These low-cal lagers aren't brewed for the average BA; they are brewed for calorie-counting women and people who don't like the taste of beer. Seen through the context of those goggles, this is at least a decent light lager, but there's no reason that anyone who falls outside of those categories really needs to bother with this.
