For a light this is very nice...for a light.
Colour is a weak, thin, golden hue. Head was one finger when arrived and quickly disapated and carbonation was light.
The nose was minor and thin as the colour.
But, the taste for a light was acceptable, evenly balanced, lite(ly) hopped and finished better than anticapated to the malts.....again, lightly. (354 characters)

From notes 8-20-08

Eye: This beer is disgustingly clear. It is so clear that it looks more like water than like beer. The color, I wouldn't even call it yellow/straw, its more like tainted water. Head is white and has decent retention, ½ a finger I'd say. Looks like some nice lacing too.

Nose: Sweet notes followed by lots of rice, thats only the first time I get my nose in the glass. After that there is nothing, its almost as if that was all the aroma it had and it went right into my nose. Clean smelling water. It really has no aroma at all.

Tongue: There really isn't any flavor here. Rice is obvious, and what other flavor is here is terrible. I'm sad to have to call this beer. Slight sweetish notes chasing the aftertaste and quickly vanishing leaving an acrid and very dry aftertaste in the mouth. Agghh I hate this beer, it is so bad!

Mouthfeel and Drinkability: Extremely light in the mouth, the consistency of carbonated water. Finish is dry. Easy to quaff, and if you're going to drink this you'd better be quaffing it. There's no other reason to drink this shit beer. If you're not drinking this to get wasted (because I'm sure it'll only take about 10-12 of these bad boys) I have no idea what is going on with that fucked up brain of yours. If someone tells me that this is their favorite beer, and that it tastes so good, I'm going to laugh in their face. Really, really glad I didn't pay for this. This beer isn't worth the minuscule amount of iron in my shit. (1,487 characters)

Poured a 2" white head. Very light clear straw yellow color. Smells like grass and some sort of mild hops. Very mild taste of corn with a mild acidic zing to the finish. Although thoroughly mainstream BMC average I have to admit this wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be and I'd choose it over many of the other weak light beers out there. (348 characters)

The Moment: Catching up on NBC's Thursday programming tonight...
Glassware: Cleveland Browns pilsner...
Appearance: A more orange version of the pale Golden; similar effervescence...
Aroma: A pungeant doughy malty sweetness....
Palate: A bit mellow, and a much more bubbly, gassy experience...
Taste: Syrupy sweet, smooth malt finish with little to be done on the way down the throat; clean water, yes--mostly just water...
Overall: Not much of a difference between the Golden and the Light, save the gas and the simplicity of its taste profile; drinkable in vast quantities, but preferably in pong/asshole/regatta/flipcup engagements... (639 characters)

Poured into a pilsner glass.

Pours a clear light straw. Decent white head with better than expected head retention. Decent looks.

Brew smells of light hops and light malts. Bare minimum nose.

Brew is light, clean and would be refreshing on a hot day. Corn and sweet pale malts. Almost nothing flavorful or memorable. OK.

Brew is what it is, a light lager that wouldnt offend. (379 characters)

i drank a few which says a lot for a light beer. this had a little more flavor than other lights, but it still lacked. i would take it over bud coors miller any day, but i don't think i will take it at all. so far no light beers have really done it for me except for sam adams. lights are just not fantastic (308 characters)

Wow...a light beer with some actual taste. In the world of light beers, this one stands out, albeit slightly. Pours out to a light, golden color in the glass with some lively carbonation going on. Not much aroma-wise, with a hint of cooked veggies coming through. The taste is decent, bordering on good. There is a bit of hop bit on the swallow, which actually shocked me a bit. As good as Sam Adams Light and one of the better, if not best (if there is such a thing), interpretations of a light beer (500 characters)

A very pale golden color body with a thin fizzy white head that dissipated quickly. Aroma is rather light, some corn, faint hay,and a slight bit fruity, very faint citrus. Flavor is quite light ( as to be expected) a bit of pale malt, some other dry grain,a bit of noticable hops, smooth drinker, with little to no aftertaste, not bad for a light beer, I would buy this again if I were into the light beer thing. (405 characters)

Pours a very pale straw hue, with excellent clarity. The bubbly white head reaches only one finger in height, but holds well. Little to no lacing. Faint grain adjunct smell, mostly clean. The taste is equally bland; some grain adjuncts and slight hop bite that leaves a bitter aftertaste worth mentioning. Thin body and high carbonation make up a crisp mouthfeel. The flavor is not bad for a light lager, and it is fairly balanced, but its so thin that eventually the alcohol is percived and detracts from its drinkability. (523 characters)

Poures a lite golden color with a 1 figer head after a fairly agressive pour. OK lace. Not much smell here - which is average for a "lite" beer. Very faint malt smells with even fainter hop smells. Picking up some corn and rice smells as well. Taste is OK for a "lite". Some subtle sweet malt with a bit of hops. Watery, but that is pretty much what I expected. Is better than other more popular "lites" (AB), and worse than others (Sam Adams). An average lite beer. (466 characters)

(Repost since my original review strangely disappeared)

I find most light beers to be unspectacular (or some, just downright nasty). Molson Canadian Light surprised me in that for the most part it remained true to the regular version. Sure regular Molson Canadian isn't a very spectacular beer in itself, but I just found it surprising that a beer's light counterpart actually has some taste.

Molson Canadian Light poured a bright straw color with a golden hue. A decent foamy white head formed and lasted about a minute. The smell is of light grains with a slightly sweet character to them. The mouthfeel was watery and fizzy like any light beer. The initial taste struck me as sweet, as the grain flavors made their way through. Although not awful, corn does seem to be a primary flavor in this brew. The usual light beer wateriness is here, but I kept on thinking that this stuff tastes alot like the original. One thing that sets them apart is that I detected almost no hops here whatsoever. No bitterness or dryness to be found. The aftertaste was light, with some lingering husk flavors and grainy/corny sweetness. Also there is no alcoholic warmth in the end to finish this one off.

This had less hop flavor, more wateriness, and more husk flavors and sweetness than the regular version, but once you get past that the two are very closely related. Not too bad for a light beer, although I certainly do not plan to drink this regularly. Definitely easy to drink, and as clean as clean gets. (1,506 characters)

Sampled from a 12 oz can, poured into a mug out of the fridge.

A - Pours a clear straw-yellow with a creamy white head; little lacing, but strong carbonation.

S - Mild grains with some minor floral notes in the background.

T - Semi-sweet, juicy grains with a finish that is anything but dry. Slight wheat aftertaste.

M - Thin body with strong carbonation that sticks around. Just a bit too thin, though.

D - This is what I keep in the fridge for guests who aren't willing to try something different...I grabbed one today to kick off Superbowl Sunday. Not a bad selection for a light lager at all, and it went well in my Dallas Cowboys mug. Figured it was about time to review it. (684 characters)

Just imagine Canadian watered down. Terrible. This crystal clear yellow beer came to me with a nice manufactured head. It was gone in seconds. The smell was of corn and there wasn't much of that. There was a buttery taste. I don't know much, but I know that this is not a good thing.I also had a hint of grains to finish it off. A bitter aftertaste. (349 characters)

I really do not care for this beer or any molson beer, it gives me really bad gas. Light color and body with no hops or malt just a bunch of corn and rice. My mother in law comes and she brings the crap, so i have to drink it and my wife puts up with the gas. (259 characters)

--Average brown bottle 331 ml, no freshness date.
--Poured a nice head that quickly left.
--Colour is what you would expect from a light beer, kind of a clear golden color.
--smell was also what you would expect, not much there.

Overall this is one of the better light beers I have tasted. It didn't seem to lose much by going light. You can still tell that it is mass produced, but one I would recommend to a light beer drinker.

Poured into a pint glass.

A: Typical light adjunct lager - pours a clear, pale yellow. Meager sized head that left behind a surprisingly good amount of lace.

S: Mild grains and slight whisps of hops. Ever so slight scent of fruit, maybe green grape. Per usual, not too much going on with this brew.

T: Just like the scent - mild grains, light hops, and ever so slight fruit notes. Crisp and clean finish.

M: Very light feel. This brew has a pretty considerable amount of carbonation. Again, very smooth and easy to drink.

D: Excellent.

Pretty much what I expected for a light adjunct lager. Good beer for parties and games where there's nothing better being offered. (674 characters)

bottle - 12 oz

Appearance - Light golden color with lots of bubbles and a meager head.

Aroma - Very weak aroma.

Taste - Has a light nutty flavor. Little taste and very little aftertaste.

Mouthfeel - Thin bodied and watery. Not bitter. Smooth to drink

Drinkability - Not a bad beer for drinking lots of very quickly. A good drinking game beer or one to pound while watching some television. Not a bad light beer. (416 characters)

1. Appearance like any light beer golden yellow
2.Smells like corn or a corn made beer.
3.Not bad definitely tastes better right at like 33 degrees had it more towards 45-50 big difference, but i guess you can say that about any light beer.
4.Mouthfeel was like a normal light beer average.
5. Me personally i could drink a ton of these, but sorta a thick for a lighter beer.
Overall, not a bad light beer but I'll try any Canadian beer. The Great White North makes a decent beer time and again. What else is there but snow, beer, and hockey. ha (545 characters)
