appearance: yellow. clear. normal carb. small one inch head. didnt last but it was there for long enough to be mentioned..zero lacing.
smell: clean. slight clue of corn. clean, not much to be said. very simple.
taste: clean. almost too clean. a basic staple. nothing past a simple beer.
wish there was more i could say, but it reminds me of how a "party beer" should be.
nothing too amazing, but then again, why fix what isnt broken.
mouthfeel: clean. bubbley. hardly any sharpness or dryness to this.
finish is basically the same as it starts. good session brew. goes down easy.
overall: if iam looking for something i can drink alot of, this might be a good choice
its damn cheap, and not as weak flavoured as some others similar adjuncts (pbr is comparable but slightly more malty)..id drink this at a house party because people are less likley to ask for freebies if they think it's swill. which it definatly isnt..its not interesting. but its refreshing, and somewhat crisp. not filling. which is great for having numerous. if you want the meat and potatoes look elsewhere.. but if its simple drinkable afforable beer with basic qualities. you could do so much worse.

Small white head quickly falls to a very thin lacing above a clear bright light straw golden colored beer.

Light aroma of light sour grain malts and light yeast.

Thin lager grain malts taste.

Light dry aftertaste without much taste on this light bodied beer.

Basic Keystone beer, Beerpong is a life saver for this beer.

355ml can. Not a beer available in the USA, apparently, though I'm guessing it has much in common, if not everything, with Coors' Keystone Premium, re-brewed and re-packaged for us lucky beer drinkers in the frozen north.

This beer pours a crystal clear, pale golden yellow colour, with one fat finger of loosely foamy and fizzy off-white head, which leaves a surprising array of broken webbed lace around the glass as it evenly dissipates.

It smells of gritty cornbread, overcooked rice, stagnant ponds, sickly fruity yeast, and dead floral, weedy hops. The taste is rather sweet and husky corn grain, fruity phenols, musty, doughy yeast, and faint weedy, vegetal, and skunky hops.

The carbonation is a bit on the high side up front, but settles to a dim frothiness soon enough, the body light in weight, smooth by committee default, and weirdly creamy, in a fully aerosol sense. It finishes fairly sweet, the cheap graininess tempered more by a latent simple industrial alcohol essence, than any actual hop profile (which here, is actually a good thing).

Another example of drinkability (read: generally inoffensive and unchallenging) totally trumping flavour. Sure, it goes down easily enough, but with the palate-shift required, what's the freakin' point? Oh yeah, right...bitter beer hegemony, and all that.

Weird Weird beer.

To me I can't taste anything but apple juice with alcohol.

Pours nice out of the can, not much head, pale light yellow.

Goes down really smooth though.. Great house party beer. If you like apple juice

All in all for a budget beer you could do better, but also much much worse

Appearance: Pretty decent for this style. Straw yellow with some good foam. Kind of flat though, but the lacing is ok. Flatens out right away.

Smell: Dry, stale hops. Not too much sweetness.

Taste/Mouthfeel: Dryness balanced with seltzer carbonation. A mild hops taste as well. This is not bad at all.

Drinkability: Nothing special to wanna drink, but it does the job.

Overall: I've been looking for this for years. It's basically been the Holy Grail in that sense. Easily the best Keystone.

Poured from the can into a rocks glass. From notes.

A sudsy bleach white hits and foams up, sticks around a little bit too. Straw gold body, fairly decent color too, looks like an ok lager with whipped up white head aside.

Nose does no bring happiness. Cooked and boiled veggies, sweet malts, lots of sticky gamey yeast senses. Its a rush of really off putting and strange aromas which are very overpowering. Incredibly off balance.

Taste gets a little better, but really not much. Lots of rank yeast, and boiled veggies. Strangely a bit of malt backbone, without a fizzy feel. Carbonation seems moderate and pleasurable for this style. Flavors though match the nose, with a good dose of mud. Not a real pleasurable combination of flavors.

In the end though its pretty awful and worth a pass.

This beer looks okay, which is a horrible, horrible trick. What it actually is, is disgusting. I assume that it is only brewed with the finest armpit sweat, as well as the freshest left over hops that were found in the garbage. It was clearly malted using only the highest quality anything that could be malted, and I mean anything. Most beers are skunky as a result of being left too warm for too long, this one is skunky from being brewed with fresh skunk. But then, if you're on this website, you're not going to buy Keystone are you? Which begs the question of why you're reading this review.
