Appearance: Pours a completely opaque black. Obsidian. 1/2" tan head, fades to a very nice lacing. Awesome retention.
Aroma: A hint of sweet malt. Little else.
Taste: Sweet, followed by a little tartness. Reminds me of Malta Goya, but with alcohol. Across the end, a touch of roast & bitterness. Lingering sweetness, then clean.
Mouthfeel: Mid-to-light body. Decent effervescence, clean.
Overall: Very interesting. Don't know that I'd buy it again, but I definitely liked it. Struck me as being too sweet.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours an almost pitch black color with a one finger of tan colored head. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading to leave a good level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is heaviest of a roasted malt smell as well as some other darker aromas of cocoa. Along with the darker aromas are some sweeter smells with some caramel and a bit of a cola like aroma. A little bit of a nutty and plum smell are there as well with a hint of graininess rounding it all out.
Taste – The taste begins a roasted malt and cola like flavor with some fruit flavors of a light plum. The plum flavors get more intense as the flavors advances with a little bit of coffee adding a touch of bitterness. While the coffee comes to the tongue it quickly fades all while the sweeter plum and cola flavors get more intense. A light herbal flavor mixed with some nutty and chocolate flavors come at the end and mixes with the rest of the flavors to leave a light roasty and sweet flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thinner side with a carbonation level that is average. The thinner body is quite appropriate for the lower abv and the sweeter flavors of the brew, but did minimize some of the darker flavors. The average carbonation was rather fitting for the brew and taking into account the thinness, made for a fairly good feel overall.
Overall – A sweet and easy drinking lighter roasted black lager. A good “darker” brew for a warmer summer day.

Appearance: Deep brownish color, with a thin lighter head.
Smell: Mild musty, faint plum-like smell.
Taste: Roasted malty flavor, mixed with hints of sour fruitiness and bitter sweetness.
Mouthfeel: Fairly smooth, somewhat watery body.
Drinkability: Drinkable, but has a mildly bitter aftertaste.
Overall - I'd say its an okay beer, but seems to look a tad better than it tastes or smells.

Hard to describe this. I can only think that this must have been a bad batch or the water to brew this in Brazil is so different than I am used to that it threw my pallet for a loop. I honestly equate this to Budweiser brewed with funky water. That was my immediate reaction. I will not get it again.

Opaque deep brown, garnet highlights, with a frothy cappuccino head that lingers as a ring.
Nutty, lightly caramelized and toasted malt aroma, with a taste that's sweeter than expected. More caramel than nuts, and minimal roast. There's a slight metallic note. Carbonation is higher than I'd prefer, and it lacks roast for the style.
