350ml can served in a pokal glass.

A: Pours a dark brown mocha color forming a big and creamy beige head. Thin bubbled. Good retention and tons of lingering lacings left in the glass

S: Sweet grains, roasted grains, caramel, dark chocolate. A bit metallic. Brown bread. Yeasts are clearly low fermentation style

T: Pretty much like the nose. Sweet upfront. Roasted grains. Brown bread. Dark chocolate. Oreo. In overall, a dry watery taste with a mild bitter end. Yeasts have a strong Lager profile

M: Light watery body. Medium carbonation. Mild bitter aftertaste

O: Nice beer. Very honest for a large production brew. Quite tasty if compared with the standard Brazilian adjunct Lagers

Xingu Black Beer is a dark brown beer that is very close to black in color. It has a nose that is sweet and malty with a touch of molasses and a little bit of plum. A good pour produces a creamy head of foam that looks great at first, but settles down quickly.

Xingu Black Beer offers a sweet taste at first, with flavors that alternate between dark fruits, vanilla, light roasted malt, and caramel. There are some hints of leafy/herbal hops, but the brief prelude into the world of bitterness is quickly switched back to the flavor of sweet, dark malt. The beer has an unusual mouthfeel that is very much like a glass of cola.

Xingu Black Beer is a schwarzbier style brew with a sweet flavor profile and likeable characteristics. It has some interesting features, starting with the appearance. It looks a little intimidating with its dark color, but the first sip proves this beer has more bark than bite. It is also interesting in its mouthfeel, which reminds me of a glass of pepsi.

Xingu Black Beer is a light to medium bodied beer, but it does have some interesting flavor notes that make it a beer worth trying. It is about as smooth and drinkable as a beer could possibly be and it rates as a good choice if you prefer your beer dark and sweet.

Garnet-tinged black and a creamy beige head that fades fast - a good imitation of canned (non-nitro) Guinness. Burnt caramel sweetness on the nose with touches of black Twizzlers and char as it warmsl.
Root beer syrup sweetness up front that gets a bit sickly with some caramel and fig, slight roasty bite, but then spicy noble hops manage to push through.
Licorice finish and tingly linger. Light, smooth, fizzy, a bit thin, acidic edge.

A dumbed down schwarz for hot weather. At the same time, there is a real German lager underneath, and it's got a couple of layers while staying way drinkable. Not the worst I've had.

A-Pours very dark. Head is patchy. It does leave some lacing. This is quite a dark beer. Looks stout-like.

S-Nose is far too mild. A bit yeasty. A bit roasty. Not much beyond that. This nose is really lacking both intensity and complexity. Not impressive.

T-Dark fruits hit first. Raisins and figs. Cola notes. Roast is mild. Yeasty. Light hint of tobacco. Maybe herbal a bit.

M-Light body. Don't let the color fool you, this is quite light. Plenty of carbonation.

O/D-Not a big fan. Flavor doesn't fit my interest. Also the nose is near nothing. Who would have thought a Brazilian Schwarzbier wouldn't be excellent!?

Pouring at cellar temp into a snifter. This is actually an older bottle from the cellar, at least a year old.
The beer pours a dark cola brown with creamy tan head of .5 cm foaming up and fading to a thin edge layer.
Aroma is roasted malt and some molasses and brown sugar, but primarily roast notes. No hints of flaws or issues from age here.
First sip reveals an average to light body with fine gentle yet robust carbonation. gentle in texture yet robust in amount of bubbles.
Flavor is generally sweet with molasses and some brown sugar, also roasted notes and baker's chocolate. No real hop hits and no flaws here either, the beer seems to have held up just fine even with the lower ABV.
A solid malty beverage, not awe inspiring but certainly drinkable and interesting enough, with the low ABV it could be a solid session beer.
