Bottle purchased from Beers of the World in Henrietta, NY.

Pours a basically opaque very dark brown, almost black, with a quarter inch small head, and not much lacing down the glass.

Smells kind of faint, a bit of chocolate and roasted malt.

The taste is stronger, and better. Some roasted malt, distinct lager-ish yeast flavors, bite of carbonation, some slight nuttiness, and chocolate.

Light bodied, with high carbonation. Fairly drinkable if slightly forgettable.

This one's just ok, it's good for a Brazilian beer, but there are tons of better black lagers out there.

A: Black in color with a meager, fizzy head sitting on top for a brief period.

S: This could pass as your typical adjunct lager going on the aroma alone. Smells like a Bud Light or Coors basically.

T: Initial flavor is macro lager. This is followed by homemade red wine with a hint of roast on the finish. An interesting combination of flavors, at least.

M: Thin and mediocre feel. Fairly low on the carbonation.

O: About what I expected from an import.; potentially decent, but always has off-putting characteristics. At least the flavors brought in a little surprise that wasn't terribly bad.

Sampled tonight on 5/8/14. Comes in a nice 12 ounce bottle that costs $2.19. bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured into a pilsner flute glass.

Pours a very deep dark brown with about a 1-finger khaki head. Lots of lacing is seen and more so than other beers of this type. The aroma is just mostly of roasted malts really. The taste has more going on with the roasted malts coming through with a hint of chocolate and even molasses to it. Pretty smooth overall with perfect carbonation. Like a slightly watered-down stout but very good. Really no bitter aftertaste to mention. Overall, it's a good brew.
