Tried this the other night. A friend of mine said that it really wasn't that bad. They were wrong. Looks like an IPA, but has a really terrible extract/syrup taste. Some discernible hops, but everything is over run by the horrible extract taste.
Not worth your time.

Poured from a brown 22 oz. bottle. Has a caramel color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is very mild, a touch of hops. Taste is, well not bad, but not IPA like at all. Some green apples, very mild hops, the 79 IBU on the bottle is hard to believe. Virtually no bitterness. Feels light in the mouth and overall is a below average beer.

I was expecting another lame beer from Minhas and they haven't let me down. Although I will say that their butterscotch beers of the past now are in only the past. Bravo! Slow learning curve tho. This IPA may at one time have been in the vicinity of some flavor/aroma hops, but it doesn't show. Plenty of malt. But also has a foul medicinal quality that has a lingering bitterness that's a real grind. Nose is like flavor. There's also some decent malt flavor mixed in with the other off qualities. Body could be good but the weird stuff dominates. Finish is like flavor. Appearance is about the best thing- clear brown amber with some bubble trails. I don't have any more chilled brew, but I think I might have to pitch this.

A=A bit on the dark side, but not out of style for an IPA. Nice white foam, recedes quickly.
S=hints of caramel , but really, mostly I get a banana like fruitiness that is truly out of place. It is not overwhelming but definitely offputting. No citrusy American hops to the aroma. What hops are used, I wonder? Not much of an American IPA, IMO.
T=Look. I'm not a huge hophead. I don't need each IPA to be more extreme and intense than the last. But give me some hops, please. This beer is balance more to sweet than bitter, and there is no recognizable hop flavor. I'm just getting caramel.
M= Slightly slick, which is neither here nor there, in my opinion. This is the best thing going in this beer. There should be a mouth drying finish to this beer and a bit of prickliness, IMO
O=Except for the name, which I kind of like, this beer seems poorly conceived. It seems like a bad recipe for an American IPA, and perhaps a mismanaged fermentation for the yeast and style. This is not at all what I am looking for in an IPA

22oz bottle poured into a tulip.
A: Pours a hazy amber orange with a half finger off white head. A decent amount of visible carbonation in the body. Head retains fairly well. Leaves some nice lacing.
S: Piny hops, sweet malts. Bit of a macro aroma to it, perhaps corn? Hops give some good bitterness to the aroma. Bit of a farmhouse feel to it.
T: It certainly has some hop to it, but it comes off a bit weird. Malts seem a bit fake and almost like a cheap lager. Best drink it before it warms up.
M: Light to medium body with a good carbonation. Isnt too sticky from the hops but doesnt feel as crisp as it could. Feels much stronger than it is ABV wise.
Overall reminds me a bit of a home brew, raw and incomplete. Needs some work to get balanced out.

Not good. Even the adjuncts used in this conconction are not good. I thought I was finding a bargan based on the price. It ended up ruining my Friday night beer sampling that I so look forward to. No hop presence, the malts that are there are totally unballanced. Mildly funky smell. Very funky taste. About the only positive thing I can say about this brew is that it had good head, lacing, and appearence. I have now learned though that means nothing.
If you value beer for the taste of beer, stay away from this one.

This is not even close to the style it claims to be! No way its an American IPA and 79 I.B.U....
I'm not a fan of shooting down beers this low. But this is just awful.
Pours a medium copper brown/orange.
Taste like almost like a Amber. So much malt... Not much citrus or hop bitterness at all.
Banana and brown sugar with a bit a copper and bubble gum.
Sorry for such a bad review, but GOOD GOD! Please stay far far away.

Poured a hazy burnt orange hue with a one and a half finger foamy white head. There good retention and very good lacing.
The smell featured a heavy sweet malt and secondary herbal hop.
The taste was a muddled medley of malt and adjunct sweetness with a trace of hop spice and some tropical fruit.
The mouthfeel was typical of the style with a strange lingering sweetness.
Overall a subpar IPA.
