A - Amber to brown color with plenty of foam. Carbonation is strong on this guy and the foam head retains and laces as such.
S - Notes of light malts, spices, and candied fruit. Also has a slight boozy smell that was similar to a rumcacke.
T - Candied sugar and fruit notes, some sweetbread taste from the yeast, and finsihes with a dry malt. Hits all the notes of a good Belgian dubbel, so I'll give it that.
M - Felt slightly thin and a bit too much carbonation for me. But the balance was good and the flavors were blended well enough to make this a decent option.
O - I think I liked the Grimbergen Blonde better. But this is a good option for someone to dabble in when trying Belgian styles. Makes a good transition to the style.

Someone kindly left a sixer of this in my fridge after a murder mystery party. Poured a bottle into a Chimay goblet.
A -- Murky brownish body with lots of stuff floating in it. Tan head that pours into a couple fingers but recedes to a thin layer with unevenly sized bubbles on top. Good lacing.
N -- Yeasts. Some bubblegummy kind of smells. A little fruity.
T -- Good. Not overly strong or complex, but tasty and representative of the style. Has almost a sour cherry taste at points.
M -- Spicy on the lips and smooth on the palate.
O -- A good dubble.

330ml bottle. Grimbergen Goblet glass. Deep ruby color, red lights. Tan, creamy foam remains as a thin layer on top. Toasted, sugary & red currant aromas with syrup hues. Sweet & sparkling upfront. Medium to light body. Moderate to high carbonation. Oily to watery texture. Hints of grape, spicy & herbal bitterness. Bitter finish & sugary aftertaste. Artificial & cloying.
