330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 10%. Copper coloured beer with a big and lasting beige head. Nice aroma of malts, caramel, brown sugar and balsamic vinegar. The flavour is malty sweet with some unwanted metallic sidenotes, also notes of caramel and brown sugar, hints of spices, moderate hops in the finish. Alcohol is noticeable throughout. Not in the league of the trappists this one.

L- Deep chestnut, clear, pours with 3mm just off-white head.
S- Rich deep malts and a liquor-ish note.
T- Follows the smell^ with a fruity note into the finish ... something like fresh/light raisons
F- It is astonishing that this is 10%, credit to the brewers for managing to have that not stand out making a a thumper of a beer.
O- I consider ABV% like foundations of a building, at say 4% a beer has to be really skilfully brewed to have much impact on me at all. The flip-side is that at 10% this beer should be dazzling me but it's not. It seems pretty one-dimensional. Pleasant to drink, but not quite the gem I was anticipating.

Pours a deep dark-brown color with a medium top of beige head that dissolves slowly.
Aroma is of caramel, dark bread, malts, plums, dried fruits and spices.
The taste is sweet and malty with notes of dried fruits ,caramel and spices. It finish of slightly bitter with the roasted notes in the back. The sweetness is a little to much, and it lacks a little ballance. The aftertaste has a decent lenght. Mouthfeel is smooth and oily. Medium carbonation with a medium body.
A good quadruple, but is far from being among the best belgian quads.

Deep red in appearance, clear body with decent head. Head is away in a flash, like many that have gone before it, and is becoming a common issue for my sampling!

Aroma is difficult to pin down, too subtle, don't really get anything worth shouting about, the best I can do is a light caramel malt.

Taste is awesome, possibly one of the best tasting beers I have ever had, sweet figs, with tonnes of caramel aftertaste. This brew really hides the 10% ass kicking abv, and invites you to down another one immediately, which I will surly do!

Overall a real mixed bag of a beverage, great great great taste, but mediocre in aroma, and only very good everywhere else.......still this is a great beer from a mass producer, and not sure I'm on the same page as the rest of the BA troopers, but hey ho.

I won't review this as I got a strong sour after-taste no other reviewers detected. Must be me.
