Pours a golden yellow into my pint glass with a huge white head that takes a few minutes to dissapate. The taste is simple and classic, nothing too fancy-and nothing too surprising. The body is light and a little too easy going. It finishes refreshing and light with not too much aftertaste. It's easy to put away a sixer of these, but costly.

(bottle code 0409 V L247<1> - poured into a balloon)
A: completely clear, suntanned golden liquid... half-inch pad of smoky, semi-open foam... splotches of lace
S: really dry, lightly toasty, champagne notes... mild grass, mild bubblegum... graham cracker notes coming through, honey-kissed... the aromas die off hard and fast in little time, leaving only a delicate medicinal alcohol note, similar to handy wipes
T: mildly fruity, somewhat toasty, clean and dry... little bit of burnt sugar and spice, bit of a white vinous note on the tail end - phenolic, but a sanded-off edge... slight metallic tang in the aftertaste, common in these "industrial" abbey blondes
M: clean and quite dry, but not so much crisp... cottony-soft sudsy wash keeps it all quiet and calm, pretty light-bodied aside from that... kinda has a sudsy, dry liqueur type of texture and flow, snuggle-y on the palate
O: like a mildly maltier, less sharp-boozy cousin of Delirium Tremens... not quite as full as a Leffe Blond, a bit spicier than that, but otherwise very similar to it... I can't understand why these beers get lumped into the Belgian "pale ale" category - they're (blond ales) clearly a distinct subset with very recognizable, idiosyncratic flavors
