A decent beer for it's style but it hardly has any smell and not a whole lot of flavor either except the typical skunky taste, it got a bit metallic as it got warmer. It has a light feel thats easy to drink.

Decent at quenching thirst on a warm day.
Looks clear. Aroma clearly has more than barley, which is OK.
But as usual, the taste is less full, but smooth and balanced. The finish is pleasantly dry.
Overall, decent but unexciting.

Reviewed in MJ's 1999 edition, giving it 3 of 4 stars : notably soft and malty, with a full but delicate flavor."

From a bottle marked best by 24 June 2016. Pours an amber color with two fingers of white head. Skunky aroma. Light mouthfeel, tastes of citrus and a little bit of hops. Fine for what it is, an easy to drink lager. Better than many others in the style because there's nothing weird about this one (sweetness, adjuncts, aftertaste, etc.). I'm not a huge fan of the style, so take my rating with a grain of salt.

If you're expecting sweetness from its relatively-dark-for-a-pilsner color, you'd be mistaken. Tastes remarkably flat to me. Certainly catty and herbaceous but without that initial hit of sweetness from an Urquell. Body's a little sticky & heavy for me.

Certainly not my go-to.

OK, I get it, this looks weak, yellow and watery, sure, it kinda is. The skunky aroma hits what some look for in a Euro lager, so this is good.

Taste has some moderate noble hops, massive carbonation levels, metallic citrus notes of lemon.

Its a hot weather only beer for me, but does that pretty well when I want a no frills skunk lager.

Crystal clear golden body with white head that quickly disappears. Nothing exceptional to smell, smooth drinking with a mild, kind of nice skunkiness. Its not an exciting beer, but I'm not a huge fan of the style either.

I had drink out of the bottle, so not sure about appearance or sell. Seemed to have a good head & lacing. Tastes a little fruity with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Okay.

Golden amber color with a thick off-white head with decent retention and leaving laces.
Aroma of grassy and floral hop and malt sweetness. No skunk, despite of the green bottle.
Flavor with notes of grassy and spicy hops, a bit of biscuit, mineral to metallic, bread and butter, and a bit of lime. Dry aftertaste with a medium bitterness.
Light towards medium body with appropriate carbonation.
Decent Bohemian Pilsner, balanced to the milder side, but not tasteless. Easier to drink.

Was out of a bottle at a friends house in Kiel
Pours a nice two finger white creamy head that lingered and left a nice lacing in the glass
It has a nice amber golden color
its aroma is very pleasant with a nice grain malt overtone with notes of fruits a bit hoppy but not overbearing
Has a nice lager taste and a pleasant mouth
Surprisingly good for a beer type I normally do not prefer

Pours to a creamy white head and moderate lace. Color is light golden. Aroma is a bit skunky at first but resolves to the right decocted grain character and spicy Czech hops. Flavor is just OK. Mouthfeel is nice. Solid citizen.

From Carrefour. In Ikea's pilsner glass. After dinner.Nothing special here. A bit better than average pilsner. Low on foam and carbonation but a bit better than usual aroma.

Poured from an 11 OZ bottle into a pint glass at the World of Beer in Pooler, GA. This beer has a slight hint of the evil green bottle skunk monster, not terrible but noticeable. The color is a bright amber with a mediun sized white head. You can taste the hops and some of the malt but a wee-bit of the skunkiness. Overall, a good Czech Pilsener.

This is decent pilsner but I can't justify buying it again for how much I paid for it at BevMo. It reminds me a ton of a German Lager, except this has a much more hoppy taste to it. It has less of a skunk smell to the beer compared to a lager, but it's just not my cup of tea.

12oz bottle poured into a slender lager glass.

A: Brassy-colored and brilliantly clear. Rocky white head does not budge. Thick and clumpy lacing. It looks great in the glass.

S: Pungent herbal and grassy hops. Skunky. Toasty grain and some bready malt sweetness.

T: Sharp, herbal hop bitterness. Grassy and earthy. Steely. Skunked.Toasty grain rides up to balance. Bready malt sweetness. The lightstruck skunky quality is quite pervasive and hard to ignore, overtaking the herbal hops on the finish too.

M: Light bodied. Firm and round malt character and spritzy carbonation.

O: This could be a halfway decent beer, but I'll never know since it's lightstruck as hell.

Pours a clear light golden , big foamy head , creamy lace which exhibits good retention.
Initially, there is some grassiness in the nose , followed by overall, a sweet malt aroma.
Taste wise this is a mostly sweet beer, the toasted malts predominating along with some light fruitiness. There are mild hops which add some bitterness and are felt in the finish.
The feel is its best attribute; light, smooth and creamy. Low carbonation, but it doesn't bother me. Very drinkable and easy to put away quickly.
A pleasant and solid session pilsner.

Poured in a pint from draft at Mark's on the Channel.

Appearance is crystal clear golden sunshine with cloudy white head and amazing tight intense fast-swirling carbonation from a good draft pour. Lacing is excellent, thick foam clings to the glass all the way to the bottom.

On the nose is a field of fresh jasmine and an abundant amount of grass. Also a hint of Belgian ester. Best smelling beer ever.

Taste was as expected: floral hops, grainy goodness and a hint of yeast.

In the mouth the beverage is luscious and well carbonated, bright and sunny. Goes down easy without a hint of hard skunkiness.

Overall, it appears as if I may have hit the jackpot with a relatively fresh batch, also on draft. I feel that this is a world class pils of a quality that would be hard to match

Served cold from 660ml green bottle into Veltins pilsner mug.

L) Very attractive deep amber colour, clear, fluffy slight off-white head, lots of big bubbles rising.

S) Green bottle. Skunk is there for a minute. Also the grassy pilsner hops we know and love.

T) Slightly bitter hops, with a nicely warm edge, refreshing light pilsner malt. A good Czech pilsner taste. Slight bitterness in the aftertaste.

F) Typical Czech pilsner, refreshing as beer as you can find when cold. Slightly bitter aftertaste takes the score down slightly.

O) I've had a lot of bottled Czech pilsners, and this can hold its head up high amongst them. Bonus point for 660ml bottle, when Budvar and Urquell come in 500ml. Bonus point subtracted for the green bottle. Follow Urquell's lead and go for brown bottles, guys.

It is an ok pilsner, not as good as pilsner urquell but not bad. Smooth and easily drinkable, a good session beer but I think I will stick with my local lager when I want this style of beer.

Orange golden body with a dense white apex. Aromas of grain, fruity lager yeast. Subtle aroma overall. Easy drinking, light sweetness, grainy finish, subtle earthy quality. Bready, yeasty, simple, tasty. A nice pils.

Fairly average Euro Pale Lager. Great feel, and I could easily consume this on a overly warm day. However, if not served very cold it has a vaguely metallic feel - while being subtly bitter in a problematic manner.

I have a bottle less than 5 weeks old from the back of the bottom shelf. It’s fresh and not skunky. L: Brilliant deep polished gold with a 1” pure white foam collar that slowly dissipates and leaves light lace. S: Clean, rich complex Pilsener malt aromas. No estery, apple or movie popcorn aromas T: Crisp and clean with complex malt flavors with a little tanginess. Soft, rounded bitterness that is assertive but is in balance with the malt. F: Light, above average carbonation. O: A good representative of the style.

Lovely pilsner style lager, with a 'thicker' smoother taste and feel than Pilsner Urquell for example.
Great malty smell to it and colour is typical pilsner / lager gold. Pours well and a nice head it left which stays around for no more than a average time.
Overall a great lager / pils to enjoy with anything I would say. nothing too special but one of my favourites.

After drinking this right after a Pilsner Urquell, I think I'm just not quite into the super bitter hops quite yet. This looks a lot better poured than the Pilsner Urquell as the head and lacing stick around quite a bit longer. It gets a little higher rating in taste because it is slightly less bitter than Pilsner (not that much though).
