This beer pours a nice, dark ruby color with little to no head, thanks to the bartender and his choice to serve craft beer in a plastic cup. Heh. The smell is rather bland, with just a bit of malt poking through. The flavor is again tainted by strong sour notes, though at least with this beer, the malt stands up a little stronger. Mouthfeel is below average, seemingly watery for a brew that gives the impression of being more malty. Drinkability? Bartender, I will not have another...

I like beers that challange my taste buds. That said, I don't enjoy beers with unpleasant flavors. This beer, typical of O'Garas beers, has something of both good and bad flavors.

The color is a deep red with substantial lacing on the glass. The smell is a light pleasant malty odor. Initially, one tastes an off-putting vinagary sourness. This is somehow supplanted by a rich malty flavor at the end. The taste one ends up with is quite pleasant. The journey to that finish is memorable. If the flavor at the end ran all the way through, this would be an excellent beer. As it is, it is flawed, but interesting.

Color is a nice amber brown, small white head that fades to leave lots of thin sheets and spots of lace. Smell is very slight fruity sweetness, very minimal. Taste, well there really isn't much, some uneven malty sweetness, subdued and pale, very light toasty bread and light unripe grape notes. Uneventful light body feel, watery and bland. Not a very good red at all. Undrinkable, unfinishable, thanks for nothin' blah.
