An unfiltered American wheat ale made with real mean peaches. The only thing missing is the fuzz. Savor the anger. Available during the late Spring and Summer months.

A very simple beer, not much going for it. I'm not much for mixing beers, but this one cries out to be cut by a standard pale ale or a wit. Pours a pale amber with a thin head. Smells of unfiltered peach juice, heavy on the skins, and some soapiness. The taste is similar- starts pretty well but turns a bit tannic and acrid. Lacks some depth. (343 characters)

A - Really hazy orange-yellow beer with a small white head that didn't leave anything on the sides. Lots of fine floaty stuff in there that actually makes the beer sparkle a little bit. Kind of neat looking.

S - Smells like a wheat beer with just the slightest bit of peach taste.

T - Starts out with some fruit taste that seems a little more apricot than peach. It's not a bad fruit taste, falls a little bit flat at the end, kind of a carbonated wheat that is pretty unfulfilling. I had low expectations so it's okay for what it is.

M - Medium bodied with some tongue-biting carbonation. A bit fuller than what I was expecting.

O - Passable, but not near the realm of "good" wheat beers. Would pass on this in the future. (727 characters)

A - A fingers worth of slightly fizzy white head that is sa bit creamy and mixed with big chunky bubbles... Moderate retention gives way to a splotchy lace with a collar around the glass... A deeply hazed murky light auburn color... Trace carbonation rises throughout...

S - A terrific mixture of fresh and canned peaches... Apricot... Honeydew... Some very light candied sugars... Fresh baked donuts... Hints of wheat... A tad bit on the musky side... Seems odd, but I'm picking up minor notes of coffee and vanilla...

T - A mix of unripe peach and canned peaches... Grass and wheat notes... Slightly medicinal... Notes of vanilla... Shortbread...

M - Medium bodied... Slightly fizzy... Oddly astringent... A bit chalky... A bit of a dry finish... A slightly pasty coating lingers in the mouth...

D - This one starts out strong in terms of appearance and smell, but quickly goes down hill thereafter... This one seems a bit forced and I'm not sure I would accept an invitation to drink this again in the future... (1,022 characters)

A: Poured a hazy orange/honey color with a good amount of sediment floating around. Head is thin and white.

S: Aroma is very strong of peaches. Not much else because the peach smell is so strong. Some malts can be detected by not by much.

T: Taste is also mostly of peaches. The flavor is very sweet at first and flavorful. The finish has some bitter hops that combine strangely with the peach sweetness. I would have preferred that the taste not have bitterness at the end, even if it meant less complexity. Finish is a bit dry too.

M: Slightly thick tasting with a decent amount of carbonation. Finish is a little too bitter.

O: Overall an interesting beer, but it is quite one-dimensional and not terribly complex. Definitely worth a try though. (753 characters)

Let me admit at the outset that I am not a particular fan of fruit beer, so take my opinion for what it is worth. But I bought this at the insistence of my six year old son, who has just learned to read and, unfortunately, knows why "Son of a Peach" is funny.

And the bottom line is that the beer isn't that bad.

It pours a very hazy orange - dare I say, peachy in color, with no head to remark on. The aroma is peachy, though is a blowzy, overripe kind of way. The flavor is sweet, with a clear peach taste, but also a curiously buttery character that, with the addition of the grainy undertone, comes off almost like buttered popcorn. In fact, once I tasted the beer, my perception of the aroma shifted from peach to buttered popcorn. Weird, but but not entirely unpleasant. The mouthfeel is quite light and there is no perceptible hop bitterness.

Is this a good beer? No, not particularly. But I could see it being refreshing on a hot, steamy day. It is fruity enough to hook beer novices, but well-crafted enough not to offend the more experienced drinkers. And it avoids the worst offense of many fruit beers, and that is to taste like it was brewed with frozen puree or artificial flavors. (1,198 characters)

Drank cold from a pint glass.

Loved the color here. A hazy golden brown having an almost orange tint to it. Had a nice, long lasting 2 finger head.

Smelled as expected, strong peach with some earthy/wheat notes tailing.

Tastes like peach. Not much else

I thought this beer was just ok. Don't think I'd purchase it again unless I wanted to introduce a new craft fan into some different fruit beers. (400 characters)

A - Hazy honey colored, light cream head.

S - Candied peaches mostly. Pretty overwhelming, maybe light hints of a typical wheat beer.

T - Sulfury peach flavored Flintstone's vitamins. Medicinal and fake peach flavor. I'm really stressing to find something good to say about the flavor. But it escapes me.

M - Other than the lingering sulfuric finish, the body is appropriately light and well carbonated (405 characters)

Meh not that great. There are better fruity wheat beers. I had this at Packs Tavern in Asheville. How long foes the comment length need to be to be acceptable ? I feel like I ant up if just for the hell out of it. Just get a lambic if you want fruity; or AllagAsh White for a better wheat. (292 characters)

12oz bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a very hazy dark orange with some chunks floating around. Half finger head that quickly disappears.

The smell is actually pretty nice. Tons of peach with some bubblegum and banana.

Everything seems to go wrong on the taste. Some artificial tasting peach at first quickly followed by bubble gum and an band aid flavor. Wonder if this is infected? A mild hop bitterness cleans the palate on the finish.

Overall, I wasn't impressed. The odd medicinal flavor through me off. But even that aside, nothing seemed to meld together and the flavors were all over the place. Not a good effort. (624 characters)

Pours hazy orange in body with fading white foamy head. Sweet aroma of peaches and fruit juice. I'm yearning for some malt or hop complexity with this aroma. Astringent flavors of peaches, peach skin, vanilla extract, and then the hops I'd hoped for in the aroma make an unwelcomed appearance; bitter and strange. Then the drink tries to finish with peach syrup but it's too much of a turn around from the hops. Light-medium bodied with light carbonation. A drink with no direction and strange, acrid flavors. (509 characters)

Okay, this is what I don't like about certain fruit beers. The brewery goes overboard. It becomes a liquid candy. It becomes less like beer and more like an Orange Crush or something. This one is a Peach Crush though. It's a wheat appearance. Cloudy and with small wheaty particles floating. The smell is overpowering peach. The taste is the same. The mouthfeel is okay with good carbonation. But, overall, if you like peaches... chill one and have it. This is less a beer and more like a mountain dew of peach beer. (516 characters)

Growler filled at Total Wine in Greenville, SC for ~$10

A: Pours a cloudy peach color. The head is pretty nice, fluffy and retains well.

S: Over-ripe peach and other orchard fruit, lots of wheat and earthy notes. Slight spices as well.

T: Well, definitely peachy. Wheat notes shine, along with an underlying sweetness from the other fruits involved. The best way I can describe the flavor is "peach flavored Playdough." Its not bad, just not balanced at all, with little to no hop profile.

MF/D: Mouthfeel is good, carbonation is a little prickly, but manageable. The finish is peach flavored Playdough with a big sweetness. I kind of regret getting a growler of this, even with 3 people sharing it. A bottle or two would be better.

Notes: I do like peaches a lot, but this beer is straight up peaches with a huge sweetness. If more hops and malts were added to the equation, this would be a much better example. Good, but not balanced enough (948 characters)

[Suggested Glassware: Weizen Glass]

The pour was a hazy medium brownish orange with a huge (3-4 finger) off white rocky head that lasted throughout, thus producing thick sheets of foamy sticky lacing.

The aroma was all about the peaches along with a mild biscuit malt and a sweet moldy yeast and not much else.

The taste was moderately sweet an a tad acidic with a strong wheat presence in the beginning, progressing with a slight bitterness along with a mild tartness and a bold peach flavor towards the finish. The flavor lasted and average duration proceeding the swallow, with a light bitter peach aftertaste that faded slowly off the taste buds.

Mouthfeel was a few steps below medium in body with a thin dry texture and a medium carbonation.

Overall I thought this was an average tasting brew, with a lot of peach flavor and a touch of wheat. I think it would make a good dessert beer, and would pair very well with some cobbler…

Another SE gem sent to me from billab914.

12oz bottle poured into my Deschutes Pint.

A - Pours a pale, cloudy medium orange with a thin, near-white head.

S - Strong peach, and that is it.

T - Peaches, and some wheat flavors.

D - Surprisingly mild and un-sweet for a fruit forward beer. Light in the mouht.

O - Overall, not bad. This isn't my favorite style, but I enjoyed this one. (387 characters)

From 6/3/10 notes. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass.

a - Pours a very murky brown-golden color with little off white head and little carbonation.

s - Smells very strongly of sweet peaches. Not too much else going on here.

t - Tastes of sweet peaches, fruity malts, and sugar. Way too sweet.

m - Medium body and low carbonation.

d - Ok, but too sweet for me. If you like peaches and sweet, fruity beers you might like this one. Wouldn't really look to try again. (479 characters)

Appearance: Hazy orange (peachy?) glass pours with a huge white meringue head that was dense enough to have different texture and color as it dried out on top. The head was a little over the top in size but nice to see it last and coat the glass with sticky lace.

Smell: Full fruity nose, it says "fruit extract flavoring" to me, but does hit the peach mark. It overwhelms any other beer like smell.

Taste: Generally light flavor save for the pretty intense fruit aspect. Tastes a little Jolly Ranger, candied peach rather than a drippy ripe fruit. Nothing really wrong, just heavy handed on the fruit flavoring.

Mouthfeel: Medium light body, a bit fizzy in the carbonation, little oily finish that slowly soaks in.

Overall: A pretty good package, but a little to artificial and overdone for my tastes. The beer under it is pretty light lagerish, so not a lot of depth or complexity going on. Still, glad I tried it and would be welcome on a hot summer day.

Bottle shared by Dan. Thanks!

A: The beer pours a hazy golden color with a finger of white head.

S: Definitely smells like a peach beer. Intense peach aroma that is a bit artificial and sugary, but good nonetheless. I'm actually reminded of Peach O's/Rings. Sort of a guilty pleasure thing.

T: Though I really liked the aroma, the flavor is really unimpressive. It's far too bitter for a fruit beer without enough peach flavor. A bit of bread and straw, and shockingly, not enough sugar/sweetness.

M: Light bodied with a medium carbonation.

O: This smelled really great, but the flavor was not very good. (609 characters)

Bought a 12 FL OZ bottle of this from the Wild Thing Cafe in Hilton Head Island, SC for $4.75. Poured from the Yellow Labeled bottle w/ an Angry Faced Peach on the front into a 12oz Hefeweizen Glass. Has no sign of a freshness date.

Aroma- A huge candied peach aroma is upfront. Delicious even on the nose! A wheat background hit the nose afterwards.

Appearance- Pours a .5 finger head that has average retention. Has a deep orange colored body with a nice glow to it. Leaves light lacing behind.

Flavor- Has a very artificial peach flavor but yet very candied at the same time. Wheaty background and seems to be filled with malt but a limited amount of hop. No bitterness.

Mouthfeel- Light Bodied, Medium-High Carbonation, Smooth, and a sweet, wheat filled background. The peach is a bit sour at the finish? Not quite appropriate for ANY style of beer with wheat involved.

Overall Impression- A decent brew by RJ Rockers but came a bit short in my books for this style. Too artificial and you can definitely find this in the mouthfeel... Would still order again because of its refreshing aroma and beginning of taste but not going to be on my top 100 list anytime soon. (1,177 characters)

A-Pours like mop-water. Very murky and hazed. Light crust of bubbles. Head dies down to nearly nothing.

S-An explosive whiff of artificial peaches. Smells like melted down Peach flavored Jolly Ranchers. Behind the whopping sugared peach aroma is a subtly pleasant combination of bread and spice.

T-The taste initially strangles the tongue with the peach flavor. However, the flavor dies down and segways into the beer's underbelly. Light spice and bready malt hides behind the peaches. Crisp underlying flavor helps to mellow out the rigid initial flavor of fake peach.

M-The body is fuller than most Fruit beers. Carbonation is not very intense. The feel works well with the beer's body and flavor profile.

O/D-Tastes better than it sounds. Wouldn't order it again. Would expect this Peach Beer to taste worse. (815 characters)

A-Hazy glowing tan color..some lacing on glass

S-fresh real peaches...not too sugary or sweet smelling...

T-I was worried this was going to be one of those artificial super sweet flavored wheats...it is not...peach is evident on the taste and somewhat prominantly but this also has a bit hop bite, a splash of alcohol and very light pucker on the finish...

M-Medium bodied...dry on the finish...6% a bit high for my liking for a fruit wheat beer....

O-Glad I tried it. Above average....not bad but nothing I will buy again....would be a better beer at a lower ABV in my opinion... (584 characters)

A: hazy; honey colored; 1 finger off white head that receded quickly; moderate lacing;

S: intense fresh and canned peaches;

T: canned peaches up front, but not as intense as the aroma; by mid-palate, wheat takes over and dominates through the finish; mild bitterness on the finish;

M: light to medium bodied; moderate carbonation;

O: I would have liked a more intense peach flavor; (385 characters)

Somehow I'm always excited to try fruity beers, and somehow they never seem to live up to my expectations.

This beer pours a murky yellow-orange with essentially zero head, and has no real smell. The taste, as others have noted, is completely dominated by peach, but I don't consider that in-and-of-itself to be a bad thing. The main problem is that the beer is way too sweet and leaves a sticky mouthfeel that, despite being tasty, makes it hard to drink.

Despite the low-ish ratings, I don't think this is a bad beer and don't regret trying it. It's probably a good "beer for people that don't drink beer" sort of beer, but not as much for regular beer drinkers. (666 characters)

Pours a cloudy maize color. 1/4 inch head of a white color. Good retention and slight lacing. Smells of amazingly fresh and strong peaches, yeast, and sweet malt. Fits the style of an American Pale Wheat Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp with a low carbonation level. There is a strong tartness/acidity associated with this brew. Tastes of peaches up front and throughout, tart malt, yeast, slight sweet malt, and very slight hop. Overall, the peaches taste really fresh and strong, but they are either overpowering the other beer flavors or this beer lacks complexity. (571 characters)

Fruit beers like this seem old school, or shall I say, so ten years ago.

The nose on this beer is awesome. Just like a fuzzed up peach. The rest of the experience is not so interesting. I am sure these beers have an appeal in the mass market, but I am looking for other things. (278 characters)

Pours an opaque peachy, orange-yellow. Nice head that falls quickly to a thin ring and even thinner cap.
Somewhat subtle aroma. The combo of peaches and grains give an almost coconut/tropical aroma. The peach is pretty dominant, with the grain and spice aromas coming in a little later.
The peach flavor is definitely not subtle. It comes on strong, but not sweet as a syrup. Again, the peach/grain combo give a tropical flavor. Grain and spice round out the flavors.
Medium-bodied.
Fairly drinkable. It's not cloying as you would expect from a fruit flavored beer. It's probably only good for one at a time, though.
Better than I was expecting. Good enough to give it a try, but I probably wouldn't by a sixer of this unless someone asked for it. (747 characters)
