Found this at Margaux's restaurant in Raleigh, NC. It's a clear, bright yellow copper color with a modest off-white film on top and similar lacing. The aroma captures an unusually sweet perfume, a bit like fermenting vegetables and/or flowers. Perhaps a little cereal wheat and vague allspice. Not ringing quite true. The flavor is pretty similar to the smell with this very odd perfumey floral idea that kind of overwhelms the pumpkin spice theme. I do get a little nutmeg/allspice and pumpkin but it has to fight with the perfume/lavender which I don't particularly care for. It's got a good, medium bodied, crisp feel with tingly carbonation but the flavor just doesn't work for me. Feel like somebody poured some Avon product into my beer. It's passable in the end, maybe others will find this more to their liking. It seems to be a quality brew if the flavor works for you.

Pours a dull lighter copper color with almost no head to speak of,aromas have some light roast and pumpkin pie spice,it's the best part of the beer.A thin watery feel leaves alot to be desired.Flavors are mainly of pumpkin pie spice and gets a little harsh in the finish.A drain pour for me....not a fan.

Light, golden amber color.

Small head fizzles out leaving a super thin cap of bubbly white

Taste, you get spice, you get hops, like in a pils almost, then some cripsy carbonation, then more hop bitterness.

Too thin for my preference in this style. I've had lower abv pumpkins that had a fuller body.

Would not get again, the high abv seemed to be the selling point when I inquired. Not sure that warrants a flat-tasting, thin, pumpkin beer.

12 oz bottle, stamped 4254, served in a snifter.
Pours slightl hazy, orange-amber color, with a modest and weak off-white head. A small amount of sediment was left at the bottom of the bottle but some light-colored sediment remained in suspension.

Pumpkin pie spices yes, but a bit difficult to pick out with the odd mix of light smoke, cider vinegar and citrus rind. The flavor is not really any better, although, thankfully, the vinegar doesn't ruin this entirely. More bitter and sour than sweet.

Feel: slightly aggressive carbonation with an overly thin body.

O: It doesn't help that this followed a very fine Stevens Point Pumpkin, but even without that contrast this ale would fail to make a good impression. At least it has a fine label.
Avoid.

A - orangish amber with a soft, fading, bubbly, white head

S - grains pumpkin, cinnamon

T - caramel, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger

M - medium bodied, crisp, well carbonated

A decently flavored, tasty though typical, pumpkin ale. it's highly drinkable, but it becomes boring after a while. In a season full of pumpkin ales, this did not stick out. I'll avoid it in the future.

I really enjoyed the drinkability of this pumpkin beer. There is just enough spice for you to want more. I enjoy it because it isn't as thick as others. It's an easy drinker when you might be thirsty. I also found this compelling, 7.3% while being an easy drinker. Beware of the pumpkin man.

This is an interesting beer that seems to change as you drink it. The color is a very cloudy tannish-orange. The head is almost non-existent. The first aroma that hits you immediately is a freshly baked pumpkin pie. After a few minutes, the aroma goes quite weak, but lingers ever so slightly. The first taste is of pumkin pie, then as you drink, spices emerge an then lastly a slightly bitter ending. Overall, a decent beer and one that goes through a lot of changes as it is consumed.

Big thanks goes out to Case at RJ Rockers for sending this unlabeled bottle with sharpie written information up our way as a pre-release tasting for one of our tasting sessions! Served from bottle into a Mikkeller taster flute. Poured a hazy yellow-orange with a minimal white head. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, pumpkin, clove, and cinnamon. The flavor was of sweet malt, pumpkin, clove, nutmeg, and subtle cinnamon. It had a light feel on the palate with mild carbonation. Overall this was a pretty good brew. I had this one awhile back when Rockers had it on-tap at one of their Taste and Tour sessions as an experimental batch, but was told by Case not to post a review for it as it was still in the testing stages. This version definitely has a lot more spices going on than its previous run. This was a nice change as the spices are all traditional with what you would expect in a pumpkin ale. The aroma was a little muted on this one, but the flavor made up for this fact. While not the most robust flavors out there, this was a very nice attempt at a pumpkin ale from my buddies at RJ Rockers. Nice work guys and looking forward to seeing MORE new things roll out from you in the future. Tick.

A- pours very fizzy with a 2-finger foamy white head that reduces to a skim layer floating on top, clear and golden orange color

S- strangely enough I'm picking up witbier aromas of wheat and lemon, mid-palate kicks in with some ginger, cinnamon candy and ketchup, all over the place

T- sweet and malty with some ginger and straight alcohol, not picking up any pumpkin or pumpkin spice flavors at all, the finish adds a light astringent flavor with a toasty malt finish and more noticeable booze at the end

M- medium body with foamy carbonation and mouthfeel, big quaff of alcohol at the end

O- if I drank this in a blind taste test, I wouldn't have known it was a pumpkin beer. Flavors are just all of the palace and the booze is too overpowering.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a rich golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of pumpkin pie, pretty tasty. Taste is spices up front, and more spices. Very little pumpkin. Kind of an unusual after taste as well. Not terrible, but not good. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall this is an ok beer, but nothing special.

Hazy golden orange beer. Thin head disappears quickly.

Spices and vegetal pumpkin aroma. Also sweet and malty.

A nice balance of spices. Some actual pumpkin flavor and a sweet malty backbone.

A velvety smooth mouthfeel. Medium to heavy bodied with light carbonation.

A: Pours a clear orange with half a finger of white head that recedes into a thin ring with no lacing.

S: A surprising amount of squashy aromas up front followed by fairly subtle pumpkin spices. There are some vanilla notes as well. Definitely one of the better smelling pumpkin ales out there.

T: Pumpkin spices up front followed by some pumpkin/squash-like flavors. Slight nutty flavors bring up a lightly bitter finish.

M: Medium-light body with medium carbonation, this beer is a bit lighter and drier than most pumpkin ales, but it works well enough.

O: A surprisingly solid pumpkin ale. Not the best in the world, but it smells great. I wish the flavor had a bit more depth and less spice.
