Review from BeerAdvocate magazine Vol. III Issue I:
Clear tawny color with a dollop of off-white head. Smells nutty with some brown bread, sun-dried grass and a vague ripe apple fruitiness. Crisp medium body. Fresh toasted malt runs from nutty grain to toasted bread, grassy to light caramel. Quick kiss of cocoa powder and light roasted coffee in the middle. Modest hopping here, with a lightly balancing bitterness. Hint of fruitiness in the back of pears and ripe apples. Finishes semidry with a long trail of toasted malt.
Bald Eagle has "session ale" written all of over it, with its down-to-earth style. Hard to tell if it was brewed in the US or not, which shows that this is a damn good Brown Ale.

A - Pours reddish brown, tons of head, had to wait and pour this in three sessions to get all the beer out of the bottle. thick khaki colored head, lots of bubbles, thick lacing.
S - Aroma isnt too good here, you get some toasted nuttiness to it, and a little herbal scent, maybe the hops? But there's also a tad bit of spice, I can detect a little bit of cinnamon, maybe some honey or maple, but very faint, smells sweet.
T - Taste is very sweet at first as it would seem, then backs off. There's definitely some dark fruit in here, a little plum, then you get some pecan flavor, and more of that cinnamon. It gets a little floury in the end, with a touch of floral hop bitterness which is nice.
M - Still it has a good refreshing quality to it, but its a little on the drier side, even a little watery.
O - Not a bad brown by any means, just missing the mark. To me brown ales are best in fall, and it kinda makes you feel the season if you get me. But this one has off center traits that pull it away from being great.
