12 fl oz brown glass bottle with standard pressure cap served into me conical Guinness pint glass in me gaff in low altitude Los Angeles, California. Bottle acquired as part of an RJ Rockers variety pack at Hi-Time Liquor in Cost Mesa, California. Reviewed live. Expectations are average given the brewery.
Served refrigerator cold and allowed to warm over the course of consumption.
A: Pours a one finger head - thin, without much cream, and of mediocre retention. Colour is a semitransparent caramel-brown. No visible yeast particles.
Sm: Foul malts, stale cream, and awful off-nut notes. Repugnant. Moderately strong.
T: Nuts in the body and climax. Empty clean malts and stale cream comprise the open. No subtlety, complexity, or layering. Boring and bland. Imbalanced both structurally and flavour-wise.
Mf: Smooth and wet. The thickness is okay, but doesn't feel quite right. Slightly overcarbonated.
Dr: Drinkable but unremarkable. A rather dull and uninspired brown ale with little to offer even to fans of the style. I wouldn't get it again and wouldn't recommend it. It's priced alright, but far better brown ales can be had.

This one is a nice deviation as there are not enough really good brown ales in the world. This one is rather excellent and an extremely nice beer to enjoy on a Sunday afternoon.
The beer pours a beautiful dark brown with a light tan a luxurious head that fades slowly leaving a fine lacing down the glass as it fades.
The nose is a tad smoky with strong malts and subtle hops and a tinge of caramel blending together. The nose is a tad weak for my tastes but after tasting the beer I am forgetting the weakness of the nose.
The flavor is the best part the smokiness continues to be a dominant component but that is a good thing. It is extremely well balanced and matches well with the maltiness that is rich and flavorful that is perfectly balanced with the hops. There are notes of coffee and dark chocolate along with a touch of caramel to match the nose. Overall a very well balanced beer and very enjoyable.
The mouthfeel is rich and full and combined with the flavor results in an extremely satisfying beer.

Marked "3065". According to Fresh Beer Only!, that's the "born on" date.
A: Very dark red with a nice white head that retains decently. Some lacing.
S: Not much, really. Some earthy hops and a touch of booze when I really concentrate.
T: Some mildly roasted and toasted malts and a hit of sweetness. A quick, mild flash of chocolate comes through towards the finish, as doe some hops. The hops linger on the finish nicely. The flavor is pleasant enough, but it is unfortunately understated. This is definitely a brown in the English tradition.
M: Thin and a bit to spritzy, but it's better when I pound the bottle into the glass.
O: Drinkability is high.

Pours a dark mahogany brown color, with a thick, creamy off-white head, but the presence of a lot of chunky floaters detracts from the appearance. The aroma is light and nutty, with a little bit of caramel sweetness and some chocolate. The flavor likewise has a little bit of chocolate and some dark caramel sweetness, but there is also a substantial astringency that distracts and detracts from the dryly sweet flavor profile. The thin-medium body and fine, prickly carbonation do little to mask these problems. Overall, although aspects of this beer's character are fine, the totality of the drinking experience is not something to back for.

Medium brown and ruby color. Insane tan head that makes pouring this beer take forever. Lots of lacing though. OK bubbling.
The aroma is a nutty, but somewhat boozy, toasted and lightly roasted malt mix.
Super toasted malt mixes with a walnutty yeast and malt flavor mix. Palate is a little thin. But this beer is a great session brew that I wish I could get in IL.
