Well, I stopped by Backstreet to grab some pizza and noticed the bar was packed, and everyone was drinking a rather cloudy, slightly orange/gold brew with little no head and just a thin white crust. Hmmm...something new?
Eeyore was introduced to me as their head brewer's "massive" DIPA, which was a ramp up of one of their "regular IPA" recipes. Interesting. Ordered a few pints.
Smells like mashed, pulpy grapefruit with the rind (and orange peels) mixed together with a hint of alcohol, some pine needle mulch, and a tad ... just a tad ... of tropical sweetness. If not for the booze note, I'd say excellent. Right now, just very good.
Nicely quaffable. I found it very drinkable considering the abv and strong flavors.
Serving type: on-tap
