Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a light golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of malts, a bit of grains. Taste is crisp, kind of mild, malts, grains, some light hops at the finish. Refreshing but light. Feels light in the mouth and overall is a decent warm weather beer.

Eye catching artwork on this 12 ounce bottle. On to the beer:

A half-inch of white head rests gently on top this shiny golden colored beer. The bubbles running to the top seem to be on crack, as they race at a furious pace. Lots of creamy lacing sticks around the glass as the beer is consumed. The aroma is grassy with a lemongrass zest, hay, and a kiss of sourdough.

There's a small bite of green apple at first taste. Solid hay and grass flavors triumph the green apple, thus helping make this beer easy to drink. A soft pinch of bittering hops at the end adds the bitterness needed for balance. As for feel, it's a light bodied beer with gentle crispness.

Middle of the pack pilsner that works as a thirst quencher after a long work day.

Poured from the bottle into a Libbey style pilsner glass.

Deep brass yellow and crystal clear. Some small amount of pin head sized rising carbonation through the body. Bleach white and bright head with minimal retention. Makes a solid two finger head, and has a good amount of staying power leaving a good half finger puck after awhile.

Nose is pretty basic. A solid simple sense of doughed malt body, with some density. Slightly buried and slightly subdued it seems than a typical German pils. But enjoyable.

Palate comes with a real good mix of basic flavor and balance. A faint mix of herbal hop that is quickly leveraged with some honey like dense malt sweetness. Aftertaste brings some playful carbonation, even a hint of faint gas but nothing distracting on the palate, if actually enhancing the flavors. Some chewy density feelings as well.

Overall just a pretty solid impressive pils, nothing bad to say about it, and can easily drink with the rest of them.

Handsome classic amber color with nice white suds. Mouthfeel is tingly and adequately carbonated. A little tangy. Slight aroma of resiny hops and brewing wort.

This really just has hints of a Pilsner-like brew, but it's pleasant enough. The gummy dark hop note is so familiar, they must sell the flavor in 55-gallon drums to the less discriminating breweries. Still it's quite drinkable, though the faintly medicinal bitter ending calls for a chaser of something, or at least a Frito.

This makes you realize how little it takes to make a beer without much to it that is still far more flavorful than the standard industro-lager. Brewed at the Peabody Heights co-op brewery. From the 12 oz bottle purchased at Sunset Beer Company in Los Angeles.

Had this on 2014-02-13 in Columbia, PA

A - Very clear orange-copper with a 1-finger white head that fades quickly and leaves little lacing.

S - Very fruity. Tangerine, pale malt, floral. Sweet.

T - Follows the aroma pretty closely but with more bready, sweet malt presence. Finishes with a touch of grass, the expected amount of bitterness, and a kiss of that tangerine tart/sweetness.

M - Light medium body and light carbonation. Pretty smooth.

O - I enjoyed this beer. It's a bit out of the ordinary for a Pils with the sweet tangerine flavor but viva-la-difference. I'd have it again.

Visited Peabody Heights Brewery in Baltimore Maryland recently and was pleasantly surprised with this very smooth Pilsner. The hops and malt flavors were near heaven in the back of my taste buds and the color was absolutely stunning. I hope they continue with this one! Mouthfeel could be better with a slight improvement in carbonation, a simple tweek.
