Paid a visit to the Rogue Brewpub and Eatery in the very quiet town of North Plains (about 30 miles west, or so, from downtown Portland) on a very quiet Sunday evening.
Atmosphere was decent. The brewpub was situated in what appeared to be 'main street' in North Plains...very old building with old fixtures on and behind the bar. There are also a number of tables of dining too. There is a sense of modernization with the large screen television in the dining area and the billiard table and golf video game in the game room. Outdoor seating is available for those nice days also
The timing of my visit may be the reason for the low score on service, since it was somewhat near closing time (8 pm on a Sunday). Not a lot of folks in there and the 2 gals behind the counter seemed to look forward to closing time.
Full menu give the selection a good score. They also had a full 'lo-carb' menu' for folks watching what they eat.
Food was so-so. Burger, great....fries, lousy.
Was this place worth the detour off the main highway....maybe. Probably would have been better for me to head here on a Saturday afternoon than a Sunday evening
