look: 4.25 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.5

Pours very dark brown towards black with a tan head that leaves ample lacing.

The smell is of roasted iced coffee.

The taste is of coffee grounds - iced and roasted with sweet dark malt undertone. The taste of coffee (not espresso - much more American black coffee) is roasty enough in the finish - nearly hits burnt.

Plenty of coffee here. The dark malt, other than a hint towards chocolate doesn't do much to add to the complexity - It is heavily roasted black coffee overall.

It's coffee with a dark malt backing.

look: 3 | smell: 3.25 | taste: 2.75 | feel: 2 | overall: 2.75

Appearance:
Pours pitch black with a paper thin beige head that disappears in less time than it takes to say "Luna Coffee Stout," despite a hard pour. Tiny trails of carbonation and light lacing.

Aroma:
Dominantly chocolate. Hints of roasted coffee can be found, but not nearly enough. As the temperature slowly increases, the aroma becomes sweeter as more chocolate notes and molasses are realized.

Taste:
Mild bitter coffee up front and some dark chocolate on the finish, otherwise very underwhelming.

Mouthfeel:
Thin body for a stout. Light carbonation. Surprisingly dry finish.

Overall:
I was very disappointed in this one. I love coffee and dark chocolate, so I should I like this, but found myself wanting more. There are much better performers in the coffee stout arena, I recommend reaching for those first.
