Our Door County Cherry Wheat pours a golden, orange hue. The frothy two finger off-white, slightly pink-tinted head fades to leave a spotty lace. The slight aroma of cherries doesn't over power the soft wheat smell. These flavors play wonderfully together, neither overpowering the other in taste. With a medium-light body, Cherry Wheat leaves you with a mildly tart Montmorency cherry finish.

From a 12 oz bottle.
There's a bit of a hiss upon opening, and a slight bit of smoke. This beer pours amber in color with a bit of a white head from the bottle. There's a good deal of carbonation rising in the glass. Slight lacing on the glass.
There's a nice cherry aroma here. In all honesty, I'm not getting much else.
There's a bit of cherry on the flavor. Some tartness to this. This beer is very one dimensional. Pretty much cherry, but no wheat.
Crisp feeling body. Not very full, but not watery.
Not an offensive beer, but, also nothing very special.

one of the better straight up fruited wheat beers ive had in ages, even better than the blueberry version they do, and one of the truer expression of real cherries i have known in any beer that isnt a wild ale or saison of some sort, incredibly real fruit profile, super powerful too but without making this one dimensional, the right amount of wheat remains in this, and the complexity is gorgeous, not too sweet overall, i could drink this indefinitely, rare for me, this style always feels cheap, but not this one, this is magic. lightly stained reddish by the fruit but not red crayon colored or anything, average white head on it and a sort of unassuming brassy tone to it, light haze, and good carbonation. it smells and tastes like a mouthful of bursting ripe cherries, so delicious, so real. subtle vanilla without it being desserty, light tangy acidity from them too, and a pretty stocky wheat core to it so there is some body and it stays beery. clean enough on the ferment but not sterile, and with the hops not playing much of a role at all, some tannins and trace bitterness late, seems fruit derived to me, somewhat quick finishing for what it is because its drier than most. the taste is explosive, the fruit profile is epic, and the beer is cohesive and even kind of regal, the quality of the fruit makes it special. cherry but also sort of a cherry blossom floral taste too making it delicate and even feminine. love the way this comes together, and hope to drink more of this soon. it seems like its flying under the radar, but it shouldnt be. one of the best beers i had on our whole wisconsin trip, memorable. id be mighty proud of this if i made it! i cannot believe the low ratings here on BA, but perhaps having it fresh right at the brewery made a difference, have to call it like i experience it, loved it!

Opaque orange/brown color. Sour fermented aroma with hints of grainy. Slightly sour flavor with strong fermented notes. Really low cherry flavor, more like an afterthought. Not a lot of complexity. Weird metallic aftertaste. Thin body, astringent. Pass on this one next time!

Pours a clear, slightly reddish amber. Carbonation is moderate with a one finger head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is tart cherries and wheat. Taste is cherry. Body is on the thinner side of moderate, passes quickly, slightly dry and tart. Enjoyable on a h ot day.

Poured cold from a 12-ounce bottle into a Weizen glass. Appearance leaves little to be desired. Beautiful reddish amber color, with reddish orange highlights and a thick, white three-finger head. This isn't over the top with fruit flavors. It's well balanced, quite light, and very refreshing. The brewer's notes are on point. Soft and bready, with flavors of Montmorency tart cherries in the background. A pleasant sipper on its own, and a nice pairing with lighter foods.

Been a while since I tried something new, so let's get started. More citrus than cherry popped out when I popped the top on the can, and more foam than fluid when I poured it into the glass. A mostly white with pinkish tinged head of foam persisted at nearly four fingers over what looked like slightly cloudy cherry juice. In the glass, a scent of cherry was a little stronger, but citrus was still detected. Sour cherry was definitely present, but not overpoweringly sour. The citrus grew more overpowering, though, with each sip... as did a taste of metal. To be fair, this can got lost in my spacious fridge for a few weeks, so I may not be giving this a fair shake. While it is not rough going down, it definitely is astringent as it leaves my mouth. This is definitely getting less appealing the more I drink. I'm not detecting any wheat that might stem the citrus dominance, which in turn is making this taste more like cough syrup the more I drink. I think I can finish it, but I'm honestly not sure.

This is an enjoyable cherry flavored wheat ale.
The aroma brings some tart cherries and wheat notes.
On the taste the cherries are evident but not overpowering. They give more of a sweet cherry pie filling impression than tart cherries. Hints of cinnamon as well. A little bit of wheatiness.
Cherries are a little more tart on the finish. Lighter side of medium bodied.
For what it is designed to be it is very good.

Pours a transparent reddish orange color into a pint glass. Light tart taste of cherries with a clean finish. I'm not a fruit beer fan but this beer was outstanding. I would recomend this beer to all during the summer season.

Dense three finger head, solid throughout but so-so retention, light tan color, lacing lacks stick. Bright orange hued liquid with a reddish tint, immaculately clean and transparent, bubbles scattered throughout. Nose is exactly what you’d expect, cherry, wheat with a dash of lemon zest and then molasses, most yeasty than bready, moderate staying power and certainly suggests the coming sweetness on the palate. Light to medium-bodied, the carbonation almost unnoticed until it starts foaming up at the finish. Strong cherry presence, close to maraschino in concentration. Still, there’s sufficient sourness to help it end cleanly. Most doughy, bready qualities here and a lot less wheat. Straightforward, guileless and deserves an ice cold chill to temper the sweetness.
