look: 3 | smell: 3 | taste: 3 | feel: 3 | overall: 3

Appearance:
Pours a hazy medium oak color with a rather lackluster head that withers away to a paper-thin film. Carbonation is next to non-existence.

Aroma:
I honestly can't decide if I like it or hate it. This may come as a shocker, but the dominant notes here are caramel malts and cherries. Tart cherries. Almost sour cherries. Very thick presence.

Taste:
Follows the nose. Tart cherries laid on a thick, caramel malt flavor. Reminds me of a can of cherry pie filling. Reminds me of an Octoberfest. I get zero wheat or grain characters - odd because the name explicitly calls it out. No noticeable hop presence either.

Mouthfeel:
Thick and smooth and pretty easy to drink. Tartness becomes more evident as the beverage warms. Carbonation is quite dull.

Overall:
Not a bad beverage, but not one I'd reach for again. Worth trying if for no other reason than to add it to your palate.

16 oz bottle poured into a Hinterland tulip.
5.4% ABV

A - Pink-hued in both head and body, this cloudy golden beer has a tall pile of foam that leaves thin, delicate rings of lace around the glass.

S - The addition of Door County cherries to this simplistic beer bring real fruitiness to the beer; tart cherry skin, none of that sugary syrup crap. Pale, grainy malt and soft wheat balance the background of this light aroma fruit beer.

T - Smooth, fresh flavor of real cherries imparts a lovely tartness that interacts very well with the earthy pale malt and soft wheat undertones but this one is a true fruit beer; sustained cherry flavor, not subtle nuances.

M - This light-bodied wheat beer has thirst quenching carbonation and smooth drinkability with the perfect level of cherry skin tartness lingering on the finish!

O - Hinterland's Cherry Wheat is a crisp, refreshing beer with plenty of boastful REAL Door County cherry flavor and balanced tartness for supreme drinkability. This exceptional seasonal is one that's not to be missed!

A: A fairly clear, medium copper colored beer with a light red hue. The head is made of low, off-white, fine bubbles.

S: A mild malt sweetness with some bready character and mild dark stone fruit notes.

T: A medium, juicy cherry flavor, somewhat like fresh juice not not all that fresh, mixed with a light, wheat malt sweetness. There is a light hops bitterness but it's mostly the tart cherries balancing the malt. The overall balance is lightly tart. The finish is medium with an aftertaste of cherries. There is a slightly odd flavor character blending throughout that I can describe that well but it's that funky that straight cherry juice has.

M: A medium bodied beer with medium strong carbonation.

O: A good fruit beer, cherries play the leading role here but they don't completely overwhelm the beer.

Cherry Wheat pours a reddish hazy color with very little head. Their is a stale aroma with hints of cherry; tart and sweet. The taste has mellow tart cherry flavors, and then finished with a sweet cherry flavor, on a weak wheat like backbone. Tastes a bit stale as well. Stale taste, hints of weak cherries, still a nice flavor, but also under carbonated. Overall its an OKAY beer nothing special, but still gotta love cherries for that to happen.
