Joe, our Brew Master, went to Munich for a few days of inspiration for this Vienna style beer. He came back 3 weeks later, a little cloudy but focused on nailing this now popular brew.

A-Pours a nice dark reddish, copper color wit half a finger of white head.
S-Huge caramel and toasty bready malt notes with some light fruity esters and some herbal hop notes.
T-Rich, dark caramel and toasty, grainy malt, and some dark fruit with some crisp hop bitterness on the finish.
M-Rich and slick feel with medium body and low, scrubbing carbonation.
D-Very easy drinking and a very nice domestic version of this style. I would buy this one again for sure.

From a bottle.
I get a very clear pouring beer that's amber in color. I did an aggressive pour and there was just a 1 finger white head. The head retention is poor, and there's no lacing on the glass.
The nose isn't very strong. I do get some malty biscuit notes, but very faint.
The flavor is malty, as expected. Smooth biscuit flavor that has some caramel notes on the finish.
Lighter bodied, but still decent. Bubbly feeling.
Easy drinking and good overall.

Appearance: Pours a clear, slightly deep, but bright, orange color with a mild off-white head. SRM of 11. (3.75)
Aroma: Moderate aromas of toasted bread malt. Toasty, slightly amber. Hints of caramel. Slightly spiced and earthy. (3.75)
Flavor: Moderate to strong flavors of bread malts, smooth, but also toasted flavors. Not too much caramel malt. Mostly bread malt with some earthy honey flavors. Smooth. (4.00)
Feel: Medium-bodied. Lower to moderate carbonation. Leans malty, but not too sweet. Enough toast, yeast, and spice to balance the malts for a balanced finish. (4.00)
Compared to Lakes & Legends Oktoberest 9/23/22: Pours similar, milder aromas. More smooth bread malt. less rye bread, bread spice. Sweeter and less rye, bread spice, and bitterness. Sweeter. Winner Lakes & Legends
Compared to Lupulin Oktoberefst. Pours lighter, milder aromas. More smooth bread malt and honey. Less Munich bread flavor, toast. Less amber and toasty. Similar sweetness. Winner: Lupulin.
Overall: A Vienna lager or Marzen Lager. I honestly don't know and think it's pulling hairs. This one drinks very well though. Nice toasty and bready malt flavors. I'd call it a very authentic and flavorful Marzen. My first one from this brewery, but better than average and one I will try again. (Rating: 3.88)

This is a 12oz. bottle poured into a Hinterland pint glass. This brew is mostly golden when held up to light. The carbonation is light but noticeable in this clear beer. The head is one finger of off white foam that quickly recedes with light lacing left behind.
This is a Vienna lager labeled Oktoberfest, OK? The aroma is sweet malts, very noticeable at a distance.
The taste is caramel, fresh bread, and light seasoning. There is a slight hop presence, light seasoning, there isn't really much of any bitterness, just a very subtle dryness that cuts the sweetness nicely.
The feel is medium and yet very smooth.
This is an easy one to enjoy, a very good lager. The light bitter finish is not present that I am accustomed to in an Oktoberfest, but delicious non the less!

Some nice toasted notes on the aroma...light amber color...clean looking....flavor brings in more of a hop impression than I expected....certainly not a hoppy beer but a bit too much hop impression for the style although the nice toasted malt still is evident. Hops are zesty.....Tettanger maybe? They would seem to fit if dialed down a couple notches...
Best by bottle of 1/16/22....fresh....
Good Ofest with the right components but leans too much on the hops for my liking.

Nice, creamy head. Smooth mouth feel. Perfect balance of carmel and hoppy flavors. I really like this beer. One of my favorite Oktoberfest brews.

Taste: Super crisp and balanced with bread like malt and slight German hop bite., same with the nose. Amber, clear for the most part, with a foamy head and sticky lattice on glass. Medium body. not bad.

After a month of O-fests, fatigue is setting in. An average Marzen that does its job... but should try to experiment to differentiate itself.
