Poured a dark cloudy red with almost no head.
The aroma was of some citrusy hops, but uh oh... diacetyl. Not huge amounts, but there shouldn't be any in this beer.
The malt profile was slightly toffeeish with some herbal and earthy hop flavors. There was some asstringency in the finish that wasn't hop based, but tasted like husk tannins. The overall flavor profile was pretty flat - not very lively at all.
The carbonation was good, but the mouthfeel was a little thin.
The was not a good beer. It missed the mark in a few areas and could use some serious improvement. I'd be curious to see what the brewer did as far as water treatment, recipe formulation and fermentation temperature control.

On tap at Lengthwise Brewing
A: Pours deep reddish copper with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces well.
S: Toasty bready malt, earthy, and some fruity notes.
T: Grapefruit pith and pine, lemon, earthy and fruity notes, plumb and peach, toasty bready malt, and toffee sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Quite a different taste from the smell. Drinkable, but really nothing super special.

Tasted on tap at brewery. Lacking in overall aroma and malt flavor for me.
