Sadly living here in the Texas panhandle, at most places the only beers you see on tap are the big 3 products and Shiner Bock (which I get tired of). So I've been pretty excited to have went into several places over the past week which serve PBR on tap (a nice change up).
The color is a light golden yellow, light head, a constant stream of bubbles flow upward. This has a light mouth feel. The taste is good, some grain, very slight bitterness, malty sweetness, a little dry, better than something like a bud or coors. Overall, a good drinking beer and a nice change up, although I can't help thinking of Dennis Hopper in Blue Velvet every time I order this.

I rated this all 5's across the board because of the style. This beer has nothing that a Beer Advocate should search for or ponder. This is the ultimate, inoffensive, find-anywhere brew that you end your night with or drink at parties. It's cheaper and tastes better than the less cost-efficient alternatives (Budweiser, Miller, or Coors). It's hard to defend macro-lager once you've tasted the grass from the greener side, but this is my end-all cheap beer. All hail the Blue Ribbon (I always joke when I drink this beer, "Selected as America's Best in 1893...and never again"). My ancestors knew what they were talkin' about.

PBR is the staple of my drinking life. I have always enjoyed the smooth flavor and found it goes great no matter what I am doing. I have had some deep conversations over this beer but I've also found great comfort in watching TV and sipping one.
A-It is about what you would expect in a glass. However, to be fair, I will review the bottle. It is like an American flag to me. Every single time I see one I think Amuuurica!
S-The smell is a little nonexistent. It is made up for in flavor.
T-The taste is delicious and very crisp.
M-It has a nice refreshing feel in the mouth.
O-I love this beer and would recommend it for anyone!
Cheap and delicious!
