Pours a clear gold color with a big head that dies down quickly.
Smells of grain and metal.
The taste is mostly of grain followed by a tiny hoppiness and maltiness. Throughout there is a metallic tinge to it.
Mouthfeel is really fizzy. A little too carbonated for my taste.
Would easily drink enough of these to get drunk off of. I could revisit my college days and slam twelve of these before I was done.
Overall, this is just a beer for the masses to get drunk off of. I easily prefer this to any other macro and I don't know why I didn't see more of this in college.

16oz can poured into a pint glass
A: Crystal clear yellow and a surprising two-finger head
S: Light malt, rice/corn. Simple but clean
T: Light malt, here a touch of butterscotch comes into play rather than the adjunct grains
M: Light-bodied but crisp & refreshing
O: Sure this may lack the complexity of the smaller production brews we're more familiar with but I don't understand its 'poor' overall rating. It's refreshing and not a flaw to be found, and I haven't had any BMC in forever but it tastes better than I recall those being

I rated this all 5's across the board because of the style. This beer has nothing that a Beer Advocate should search for or ponder. This is the ultimate, inoffensive, find-anywhere brew that you end your night with or drink at parties. It's cheaper and tastes better than the less cost-efficient alternatives (Budweiser, Miller, or Coors). It's hard to defend macro-lager once you've tasted the grass from the greener side, but this is my end-all cheap beer. All hail the Blue Ribbon (I always joke when I drink this beer, "Selected as America's Best in 1893...and never again"). My ancestors knew what they were talkin' about.
