1000th review and probably the first beer I've ever drank.

A- Pours a crystal clear gold color with a fairly thin white head. Head doesn't have a lot of retention and leaves a bit of layered lacing.

S- Smell is a bit of corn, rice, metallic, and a bit of hops.

T- Follows the nose pretty well. Quite a bit of grain and corn.

M- Light in body and a good amount of carbonation.

O- Nothing super exciting here by any means, but I'd take this one over any of the other macros.

My favorite adjunct lager, even though I'm not a hipster.

A: Poured from can into a pint glass. Clear yellow with a big white head that actually has some retention.

S: Smells like malt and corn but can also smell hops! A huge plus.

T: Pretty sweet with malt and corn flavors and a very decent hoppiness that finishes the beer off.

M: Creamy carbonation to fit the light body.

O: For what it is, it's pretty damn good. Noticable hops and a good body give PBR the edge over BMC.

Poured this American Adjunct Lager from a 12 oz can into a pint glass. Poured a clear straw color, produced a average white head, retention was poor and lacing was minimal. The aroma has a slight hint of sweet malted grain and some grassy hops. Light in body, this lager is smooth and easy to drink. There is some slight flavor of malted grain and a suggestion that hops were used in the brewing process. At the end of the day, this is an adjunct lager- no better, no worse. It's very average and it easily rivals Budweiser/Miller/Coors, in fact, i think it tastes better. It will do in a pinch. Prost!

Look, it's a hell of a lot better than most AAL's, it's dirt cheap (about $13 dollars a 30 pack), and it's the beer of my people. It's what my dad drinks. It's the first beer I ever tasted in my life. Its great ice cold on a hot summer day, or with ice crystals in the bottom of a 40 while ice fishing. What's not to love?!?

12oz bottle from Purvis Beer, poured into a Mikkeller tulip.

Real light golden colour, very clear appearance, nearly to the point where i could read my calendar through it! White head of foam that depletes too fast.

Smell starts out as corn then evolves into rice runnings. Then a clean, dry grain smell emerges.

Tastes of grain, with some corn backing. Little bit of a hop finish. Later on the flavour of white-rice runnings emerges.

Mouthfeel is decent, the hop finish adds a bit of interest. Moderate body.

I've had plenty worse, especially for the style. Decent enough adjunct.
