- Pabst Blue Ribbon is brewed in the finest traditions of an American Premium Lager dating back to 1844. Brewed with a combination of 2 & 6-row malted barley, select cereal grains and American and European hops, Pabst Blue Ribbon is fermented with a proprietary lager yeast. Our unique fermentation and maturation process results in a smooth, full bodied beer with a clean, crisp finish with a fine noble hop aroma.

Pours golden yellow with plenty of bubbles that flourish and create a soapy head of white foam that falls quickly but leaves splotchy lace. Leaves a ring and thin cap throughout the drink and has pristine clarity. Nose is sweet grain and grass. A faint sweetness from corn syrup and a bit of a sour smell from yeast.. There is soft powdery sweetness on the nose of this beer as it warms.Hops are floral but very modest.

Taste follows the nose all the way. Cornflakes, grits. Sweet in the back but dry int he finish with a resonance form the corn syrup sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium. It has a grainy texture at first but smooths out to a thinness in the drink. It’s crisp and finishes pretty clean except for that sweetness. Hops stay shy until the back end where they show a faint bitter and maybe hint at lemon. Slick.

An easy beer to drink. Drinkable and fabulously dry. That is my only complaint. It is drier and drier and leaves the mouth dry without any citrus to refresh it. Light overall and a light bitter to keep the palate engaged. A touch sour in the middle as it warms. The worst you can say about this beer is that it becomes a bit bland after a while.

Probably the best (in my opinion) Adjunct Lager there is. I'd rather one of these than a Bud Light or whatever any day. It's very refreshing, and tastes good for what it is. Overall, it's pretty decent as a beer, especially when you realize it's competition being the other adjuncts. Definately my go to beer.

I've had this beer more than once and It's always been much better than BNC offerings.

Appearance is light yellow and fizzy, head doesnt retain

Smells kinda malty but thats about it

Taste about average but theres no weird off flavors

Feel is good, ok carb

Overall a decent beer if all you have is a gas station to buy from.
