Ah, the empire of Miller contract-brews. Are they all the same? Well, i'm not the fairest of judges, but I might just have a hard time telling this one apart from PBR or the rest of the "G. Heileman Brewing Co."s products. This one was thrust upon me by one of my Chicago-area friends.
This pours out a lemon-white yellow with a decent head that instantly vaporizes down to about 1/16th of an inch. I can honestly say that I am smelling the glass more than the beer. Wow. No lacing.
The first taste is a good heap of adjunct-y flavors. It just screams corn, but the aftertaste is a welcome surprise. Sweet maltiness backs up the adjunct-laden first wave, and finishes with a tiny wisp of hops. Majorly watery. I'd like to know the ABV on this one.
Well, i've had much much worse but this ain't no top shelf entry. I'd drink it again in Wrigley field, but I can't really see any other application.
Post Script: My memories of this beer will forever be attached to the image of my fiancee getting violently sick for an entire day after a bottle of Hennepin and about 5 Old Styles...
