12 oz bottle poured into a pub glass. pours a chestnut brown color with amber highlights and two fingers of light tan head that rapidly dissipates and leaves no lacings.
aroma is of caramel malts and a bit of dark grain with some dark fruit in the background. a distant tinge of something metallic hurts the aroma a bit.
taste follows the nose without the metallic tinge. not bad for a medium brown ale, with a nice freshness and smooth finish.
mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth with a hearty finish of residual caramel and grain.
drinkability is decent. for a brown, this is a decent brew, but it is a bit weak in the end. could be better.
