Black as the name suggests with a light tan head.
Subtle roast throughout like weak coffee. Not much else in terms of malt or hop character other than an offsetting hop bitterness. Finish is clean and crisp as a lager should be.
I would say this falls closer to a Schwarzbier with the more pronounced roasted note. Whatever you want to call it it's another underwhelming lager in the vast world of lager beer.

12oz bottle served in a standard pint glass.
L - black in color with a short-lived khaki head that remained as a light coating and left decent lacing.
S - light roasted barley malt and butter in the aroma.
T - the taste brings out more of the roasted malt than the smell with mild bittering on the finish.
F - medium bodied with low carbonation and a somewhat thin feel.
D - fairly easy to drink.
