On tap at the brewpub.
Dark black body with a tan head that soon reduces to a thin ring.
Toffee, dark dried fruits and black bread in the nose.
More coffee, some smoke, and little dark fruit in the flavor. Rich but just a touch sour. Lightly sweet fading into a mild-medium bitterness overall.
Full body with light carbonation. .

Had on tap. Brownish black body, lighter brown finger of foam, pretty standard stuff. Smell actually works for me: chocolate contrasted with the roasted malt and peppercorns in an earthy and almost cereal way. Taste is not as balanced, with the roasted and spiced notes running away with it. Dry medium body, but beyond roast no depth to really anchor this one. Fun experiment but no need to have again

Beautiful and burnt, Bhramari's American stout also carries some grit. Peppery, husky and awash with char, the brewery's dark side is showing.
Onyx-black and completely opaque, the beer's mocha froth unleashes a bold and roasty perfume. Dark roast coffee with a Turkish earthiness decorates the nose along with bold chocolate, nutty and campfire wafts. To taste, the beer's burnt sweetness of caramel, cream and sugar are all deeply carbonized and toasty.
With the sweetness slowly fading, the beer's burnt edges rub the middle palate like burnt marshmallow with the toastiness of graham cracker and bitter baker's chocolate. Nutty, toasty and with a peppery grit, a hint of rye finishes the taste with peppercorn, burnt husk and a hint of licorice.
Finishing full but carrying a relaxed, drinkable sense, the taste trends dry and slightly ashy. Powder-fine char is light on tannic woodiness with a bitter citrus taste of burnt orange peel and hints of dark fruit and slight brandy.
