Pours a clear gold with a half finger of persistent head.
Smells of light malt and grassiness. A bit of soggy cardboard.
Taste very much follows the nose.
Watery, above average carbonation. Dissolves any residual flavor quickly.
You could drink this with food, and it’ll refresh you on a hot day. But it’s not going to do much more than that.

Purchased in Austria. Pours clear, gold in color with one half inch head. Taste is honey, grass, and pilsner malt. Light bodied and carbonation, sweet. Yet another sessionable Austrian pils. Nice afternoon beer.

This is the kind of beer that is only good (drinkable) when ice cold. The smell and the first mouthfeel makes you think that this will be an easy-to-drink adjunct but it soon slips into a kind of weird sweet bitterness? Maybe it's better with food? Definitely. With a bowl of spicy curry, for sure. When you don't need to pay attention to the taste so much.
P.s.: had it again in 6/2022. Was not THAT bad, on the contrary it had nothing really negative about it. I do agree though with my former opinion that it is only good when ice cold, otherwise the malt part can get borderline overwhelming, almost sweet at times. While classified an European Pale Lager, it is much better than most, measured by the quality that it does not have a foul aftertaste and does not make you sick. For the price point (50-60 cents maybe?) it is almost unbeatable.

Bought a nice 0.33 bottle in Graz, Austria. Puntigamer pours crystal yellow color with one finger foam. Damp wheat and vinegary yeast in the nose, not very pleasant. Mouthfeel is fresh and nice, yet very plain and straightforward, with medium carbonation. Slight fruity sourness dissolves quickly on the tongue, leaving no aftertaste worth mentioning. Overall: tastes better than smells; too simplistic to return to.

I think this beer is a helles, rather than a euro lager as is stated above although I may stand corrected. It is certainly not producded on the scale of most euro lagers.
Nice and light, very refreshing brew, just the right amount of carbonation. Typical of Austrian beers in this style. Nice retro packaging.

500ml can poured into a tall glass, brought back from a recent European trip by a friend. Pours golden yellow with medium white head. Smell and taste are basically light malt and hops. This is a typical Austrian pils/lager that goes down easy but isn't remarkable at all. Very inoffensive, not great but not bad, pairs well with most food (and it's not unusual to see maintenance workers drinking it while eating a cold sandwich on their lunch break). I toured the brewery in Graz when I was a student there over 20 years ago and the recipe hasn't changed at all.

We made the brewery-tour in 2006 as students for 2 € p.P. and the guide was a very nice and sympathic old man who told us a lot about how the beer is made there. However, it turned out to be so cool that we always booked the tour after we passed an exam at university. After the fourth time Vinzenz (his name) separated us from the firsttimers and sent us directly to the tap where we waited for the others, watched soccer and drank some beers and had free prezels.
Maybe there are some better beers on this planet - i hadn't had one from a brewery this size so I rated it 4, just in case - , but when it comes to emotion and great memories I connect to a certain beer, then this one is number one! It's a very well balanced beer without too many edges, has a very nice carbonization and it's nice to have it next to lunch or dinner.
