Poured a 500-ml can into a pub draught glass.

Appearance - nice golden colour, with modest foamy head. Lingering, inconsistent lacing.

Smell - very hoppy with fresh leafy aromas.

Taste - not at all a disappointment. Less flavour up front, but the malty hoppiness comes through pretty prominently at the end. There's almost butterscotch or something deep in there, just very good.

Mouthfeel - put together well. Not too heavy on the palate.

Drinkability - very drinkable. I would have to say this is both flavourful and refreshing. A few of these could go down easily.

Slight off white head over clear deep gold, sweet malt and flowery hop nose, a little hay too. Light bodied which plays up the substantial hop bitterness in this, also a nice light malt background but it's the hop that is dominant here. The finish is long, bitter and delicious. This is a great warm weather session lager. Well made and worth purchasing.

500 ml can purchased from LCBO for $2.15 CDN. Served cold into a pint glass.

Appearance - Clear golden color. 2 fingers of white head that stuck around for a while. Also frothy looking head and some nice streaky lacing left behind. Lots of bubbles within the clear beer.

Smell - Grassy, also a slight smoked meaty smell (maybe my nostrils were off?). Not a lot else but that was a pleasant source of differentiation. Good for the style.

Taste - Nice mild flavor, just enough hops bite to give it some crispness. Also some faint spiciness transitioning to bitterness on the back end. Not spectacular but certainly pretty decent.

Mouthfeel - Tingly sensation in the mouth, but slightly thin watery taste on the tongue. Still retains medium body with lower carbonation.

Overall - A fine beer for the style that's quite a bit hbetter than a lot of the stuff at the LCBO. While it won't be my first choice if I'm craving a Czech Pilsner, it won't be far down my list either.

A: Pours a clear light golden color with a decent head that fades quickly to bits of lacing.

S: Aroma has a mild citrus aroma with some malt sweetness and grain.

T: Taste of mild citrus, malt sweetness and grain. Mild bitterness and a fairly clean finish.

F: Light body, crisp and quite smooth but something is missing to make this a good Bohemian Pils.

O: Drinkable and much better than a Euro Lager.

Thanks to my father-in-law for this obscure lager tick. Server in a pils glass. Best before June 14th, 2013. Pretty sure Kozel = Kozel Premium.

A - Two fingers of creamy off-white foam linger, with surprisingly good retention, yielding plenty of intricate lace patterns and a thick cap. Transparent golden straw with tons of visible bubbles racing upwards.

S - Generic lager aroma, with toasted grains, earthy and slightly skunky hops, perhaps a touch of corn sweetness. Pretty bland and inoffensive.

T - The taste is quite similar, with lightly toasted cereal grains and corn sweetness mid-palate before yielding to some mild hop bitterness. Again, inoffensive and largely forgettable.

M - Carbonation is a bit zesty and and harsh. Medium-light body, a tad watery but surprisingly creamy. Lightly sticky finish, and no apparent alcohol as you'd expect.

D - It's a generic Euro Lager more than a Czech Pilsner. If I had nothing else I could easily finish a 500ml can, but I can't justify wasting calories and alcohol units on this when I have much better options in the fridge. Not sure why the LCBO feels the need to stock so many beers taste nearly identical.

this is a really great Czech Pils that comes in a can ( so quite fresh) and redolent of good saaz hops. There is a real lightness to the beer yet the hops shine through. Add to my list of great pils in cans along with Wernesgruner and Pilsner Urquell.

Pours a frothy white head, quickly leaving a good film and nice lacing. Colour is a medium bright gold.

Smell has a balanced hop bitter character. Has a crisp mineral character as well. Fairly light in character, good, and pretty inviting.

Taste has a pleasant refreshing bitter bite, hops play into a malt background that is fairly mild. Some apple and grassy fruitiness to add to the palate. Finish is dry, slightly bitter.

Mouthfeel is medium body, carbonation is plentiful. Nice and crisp, with a mineral hint. On the end it is dry, with hops.

A traditional pilsner profile, very pleasant to drink. A pleasant bit of fruitiness along with the crispness, refreshing and sessionable. I'd pick up a couple for a refreshing summer afternoon.
