A couple of Russian friends of ours (who live in Paris) took my wife and I here for a quick beer before our dinner reservations and it was a welcome break.

The atmosphere was nice, typical Paris brasserie with more wood and mirrors. Good atmosphere for a beer bar. It's about three blocks from the Patheon and we had our beers out on the sidewalk, so alot of nice views for drinking your brew. Service was quick and friendly, something not so standard in Paris. Selection was above average. Duvel, Cantillon, Maredsous, Rodenbach Grand Cru, La Becasse, Orval, Chimay, Kwak (in the tall "stirrup cup") among others. I had a Hoegaarden Grand Cru that was fantastic. Didn't have the food but the mussels being served at the table behind us smelled fantastic.

Not one to seek out necessarily but if in the neighborhood of the Patheon or Sorbonne University it makes for a nice stopoff.

I was in Paris on vacation and this place was close to the hotel. It was a great find. It has been around a while and a has a comfy broken-in feel. There seemed to be regulars, students (near by uni), and tourists. The name was enough to get us to give it a try. There is a good beer list with many standard Belgians. The service is great. Nice guys who are pretty attentive compared to typical European cafes. We were here for a beer after a dinner, but during their dinner service. Go here for the food. The dishes going by looked absolutely amazing. It was very crowded with locals.

Wandered around the latin quarter and stumbled upon this place. I was very impressed with the beer list - had a Rodenbach Grand Cru and a Bourgone de Flanders. Service was a little slow and it was kind of crowded (typically Parisian, so can't complain). The high point here was the food - I had the most amazing cheese plate that went great with my girlfriend's Hoegaarden and my grand cru. Cheeses were very ripe and tasty. Impressive selection and good food. Don't pass it up if you're in the latin quarter.

Wandered in virtually right off the Metro for a light dinner and beer.
Initially appears to be an intimate little woody spot but is quickly revealed to be quite a large building with a deep, open back end full of friendly folks.

We were quickly met by a waitress who was happy to come back for a beer and then a food order. Tough, however, to get them to leave the menu for further beer perusal.

Selection was impressive with most European countries well-represented. Curried mussels and fries were outstanding and the various dessert items (made with beer) were tempting enough to order one; a French beer and raspberry sorbet--awesome finish to the night.

Definitely stop in if you're in the neighborhood and looking for a good beer.
